foreman is the only one that i would call a sure bet and still it would be competitive,holyfield is another one that i think that had the number of tyson, stylistically ali would be an easier match for tyson(still ali wins in a vey competitive match). vitali klitscko would have better chance than lewis cause his larger height and better chin, i think that mike would have problems with the height of vlad because would have problems reaching his chin. i think that mike stops frazier, destroys holmes,marciano,liston,dempsey,johnson,jefries, etc

Putting 30 lbs. to Patterson's frame and calling that equal to Tyson is the same as saying if Tyson lost 30 lbs. he'd be just like Patterson. Imagine a 190 lb Mike Tyson in the ring. You really can't, that's why you can't put 30 lbs. on Patterson because in reality he'd look fatter than a 7 year retired Marciano. Bone structure plays a big role here. And compared to Tyson - Patterson couldn't crack an egg.

Patterson didn't have the killer instinct Tyson had. What does Liston have that Tyson hasn't seen before? A powerful jab? Tyson's style was built around getting past the jab. A reach advantage? Everyone had a reach advantage over Tyson. He did pretty damn good against the field, didn't he? Good chin? Tyson ko'd some talented guys who had never hit the canvas before. Good power? Being bigger than Liston, Tyson also fought a plethora of bigger heavyweights than Liston who had top shelf power that could've been equal or greater than Sonny's. Liston has nothing that Tyson hasn't seen.

The uppercut? So Tyson's weakness is the uppercut. Oops, you found it! Even if professional trainers prepared their men to throw Tyson's kryptonite, they'd have to land that uppercut often enough throughout the fight to get the job done. I don't see Liston doing that to a prime, battle ready Tyson. In fact, guys like Ruddock who loaded up with their prime weapon couldn't take Tyson out.

Liston never fought a fighter that possessed a combo of tremendous speed and explosive power who was bigger than him. Short arms be damned, that would be Mike Tyson.

yeh furys no exception just because he minced an old 38 year old ex champ with a track record for falling to nobodies when prime. all the champs Tyson beat did more than that.

I would add Sonny Listen. Listen had a tremendous hard jab with terrific power, and a bad ass attitude as well as a good boxer.
