    In with the Sonny Liston Super Sunday hoopla.

    Joe Louis and Sonny Liston are the most complete, fundamentally sound heavyweights I've seen. This is my opinion. The predictions regarding a potential fantasy match up between the two has shifted back and forth between both ATG's.

    Who wins? How? Why? What round? Paint me a mental picture...

    Great matchup that is hard to pick a winner. Slightly favor Louis. I'd be rooting for Liston to prove me wrong and wouldn't be to surprised if he did.

    Yes indeed. However, I like Dempsey-Johnson, Ali-Tyson, Holmes-Foreman and Bowe-Lewis rounding out the Top 5 after Louis-Liston, with Ali-Louis taking 6th place followed by Charles-Holyfield, Marciano-Frazier, Dempsey-Louis and Wlad-Vitali in the Top 10.

    But with Louis-Liston I can't see a winner. Help me decide one if you may be so bold, sir.

    I think Louis gets the edge from being more efficient than a cobra. I would love that staredown! Baleful Sonny looking at implacable Joe. I give Louis credit for a much better chin than most do here though. I think Sonny would be the more likely of the two to crack if things went south.

    I like these a lot.

    Regarding your previous post to this one, I agree that Liston would be the one showing signs of struggling mentally. Damn, it's just one of those matches where the near perfect tactician, stronger man in Liston would be facing a perfect technician in Louis. I guess the mental factor would be the deciding factor.

    How about Charles-Liston? Not a bad one either. Or...

    It may help Liston if it turned into a brawl, ala Wlliams. Who knows when you have two guys with that kind of power?

    I like Tunney - Schmelling alot, Winner gets Walcott.
