Does the forum consider Eubank, Benn, and Collins as greats?

Or just very good????....Do you think they would have fit into other eras around the middleweight/super middle weight ranges?

The way british alphabet middleweight champions of the 90s who never really beat any b tier americans are elevated to worldgreats is so wrong.

Collins is who i mean.he was a good strong top 15 guy in most strong eras but cmon thesecdays people talk as if jones jnr v their hero collins was another monzon-hagler mythical matchup.

Very good, not great, an overused word.

They were world class fighters who produced great fights together.
It depends on the criteria for being a "great fighter".

I'd say no, they weren't true greats.
Probably closer to it than Joe Calzaghe though.

I always considered Herol Graham proved and measured up better against the world's best fighters than Eubank, Benn and Collins did.

Michael Watson deserves his mention here surely.

Put it this way : If Frankie Liles was British the media over here would celebrate him among this "pantheon of greats" too.

Looking from the bottom as a lowly ex amateur boxer I'd say they were greats as was the likes of Bummy Davis and Joey Archer
If you only like or follow the very best like Robinson or Ali then no, they are not
    How you define greatness???

He certainly does, his win over Dangerous Don Lee got him noticed originally in my opinion

They were British Greats, but just very good fighters in the grand scheme of things.
