You can't blame Froch for running from DeGale and retiring

We can allow him this one duck after a gruelling run. Froch is an iron chinned G but Chunky would've schooled him badly. Terrible fight for Carl at any stage of his career.

That pathetic "too big too strong" message he sent to Golovkin before running away into retirement was one of the most cowardly things I've seen in boxing.

How can anyone call a 36 year old Froch a coward for retiring after making millions and fighting the best for years.
    Froch NEVER ducked anyone.

Froch is all wrong for Degale. Imagine the Degale who gassed againts Dirrell in the ring with the Cobra?

Degale's performance in the second half of his recent fights suggest Froch would have taken him into deep water late. Could he withstand that level of pressure? On current evidence I'd have to say no.

  8. Froch ducked GGG and Ward, not DeGale. His last embarrassing offer of having it at 172 against GGG despite knowing he is a smallish MW said it all.

De Gale faded under pressure from Dirrell but managed to regoup and win the last couple of rounds he was pushed all the way by Bute as well

Froch wouldn't let him off the hook and De Gale has a tendency to get pushed to close to the ropes. Froch destroyed Bute in one the biggest drubbings of a hyped fighter ive seen. froch would have every chance v degale and stylewise they both pose problems for each other. If De gale boxes and moves he probably wins but could he keep it up for 12 rounds vs froch.

I don't agree. Froch would have won.

He was a changed man against Groves 2. If that Froch turns up its an easy UD for him

It's a fight model we've seen dozens of times with Froch.

Boxer/mover looks great for 4 or 5 rounds against a less mobile Froch.

As the rounds go by, boxer/mover starts to tire and begins getting tagged and walked down.

    The outcome is very predictable.

I agree with most on this. If it was a 6 rounder I think Degale wins a comfortable UD. Degale would make Froch look silly boxing on the back foot whilst Carl lunges in getting banged with counters. However, due to Degale's poor engine I'd have to say a late stoppage for Froch if it was a 12.

Hmm I don't seem to remember the Dirrell fight going much like that. No chance Froch stops DeGale.

I'd have loved GGG to have splattered that massive conk all over the place.

Just shows u boxing culture these days, if Froch can be called a ducker then i dunno

I do admit however and said it all along DeGale was all wrg for Froch
