to be fair to Lucas, if WADA catches someone on Clenbuterol, chances are he never knowingly used it, but used either blooddoping or EPO and got stuck with a mirco dosage of synthetic Clenbuterol for his effort.
It has happened before as a byproduct of using bloodbags (either doped up or natural) and VADA is capable of detecting that stuff.
So being caught for Clenbuterol doesn't always mean you were stupid. You might have done everything right and just were s__t out of luck.

Also, why Haye? What gives him any right to get back in the WBA mix?
First either Browne or probably Chagaev has to fight Oquendo due to court order.
Then the winner gets to fight for the actual Super belt, and David isn't (and shouldn't be) part of the tourney, so that's a moot point.
He should just fight, shut his mouth and get in line.

I wonder where the test was done? If it was in Russia I'd question it.

They shortened / lengthened rounds by significant amounts to suit how Chagaev was performing.

I doubt Haye gets the shot although him vs Chagaev would be a half decent fight.

I forgot about the Oquendo situation- maybe he should fight for the vacant title.

  4. Done by VADA. Russia does not have an Olympic standard testing facility as it stands and it is not being done by them.

Belt isn't vacant when the b sample is positive as well.
It will be returned to the previous owner, so in this case Chagaev.

if it was the Russians spiking his drinks or whatever, why would they choose a PED which would not be, on the face of it, applicable to the needs of a heavyweight? They'd pick a steroid and get him banged to rights.

So the fact it is a drug mainly used to strip fat after muscle mass gain, suggests Browne's guilt more than anything.

Must say he did look to have considerably less fat than in previous bouts and that can't have been the result of one contaminated drink or the like. That hints at a long-term program.

He used to have a spare tyre, then he didn't so I doubt the Russia conspiracy theory to be honest.

It wasn't performance enhancing it was a fat stripper, still not right BUT wouldn't of made him any better fight night

I agree with doublejab666 he looked much leaner than in previous fights what a shame I like the guy he could make the domestic scene very interesting hope they don't strip him.

Yes - the round timings were shocking. 30 seconds or more added to the round where Chagaev put Browne down. Browne good rounds were reduced by about the same. That isn't a few seconds either way - it is deliberate and blatant.

Agree. Looks like they had every base covered as well.

Clenbuterol? Total *******s. It does very little. If you're taking the chance using that you'd be on quite a few other pharmaceuticals as well.

The solid crystal form is easily dissolved in water.

It's either been added to his water pre / post fight or the sample has been meddled with.

    This is absolute garbage.

This is WADA testing, would be an enormous scandal if his sample was tampered.

Can't discount anything, but really the evidence of the change of body shape at his age does suggest the use of PEDs.

It's VADA: Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, not WADA.

If he'd been caught with more than Clen in his system I think my opinion would be different, just can't see anyone risking it for that alone.

The entire setup in Grozny was about intimidation and having every base covered. Islam Kadyrov, one of the biggest lunatics on the planet was ringside throwing air punches the entire fight.

If he wanted a drug fail from Browne post fight, he'd have got it without much difficulty.
