Well it does actually Froch's competition up to that point had been dire to say the least.

Fighting in small halls infront of 50 fans, there was no clamour outside of fat mick and Froch for a Calzaghe fight.

In fact if he had fought him instead of Hopkins the same idiots saying he avoided the human punchbag would be saying he avoided Hopkins.

Punchbags don't win four versions of the world title atsch. I dont like froch and wanted Groves to destroy him but have a day off.

 

Froch wins fights due to true grit, toughness and determination. Not from fancy skills and defence.

Calzaghe would win every minute of every round. It would be like he was hitting a heavy bag.

Froch was excellent but Calzaghe was a few levels above him.

 

Because they can't and he wouldn't.

Froch does nothing better than Calzaghe. Throw into the mix Calzaghe was deceptively strong, faster, excellent chin himself and his stamina was on par if not better than Froch.

Counters with the jab at mid range and outworks him when he pushes him back on the ropes, I even believe Froch would of floored him at some point, just like Hopkins, Mitchell and Jones Jr did.
