Before Conor lost I hated his fans, but I liked conor's style, and how he was more of a striker than grappler(I don't understand the jiu-jitsu, wrestling bs, and it just seemed like too men rolling around half naked to me). His fans were absolutely the worst though, now I find it easier to be more open and supportive of the guy. People saying that he was exposed, and he's a fraud etc are going to be eating major crow imo. Maybe they're right on the jiu-jitsu wrestlign aspect, because I dont know **** about that, but I doubt most people who claim they do know either. But from a striking and reflex stand point, he's on a different level than anyone I've seen in the current MMA. I'm not including guys like Silva because he's old and shot. If Conor doesn't pull a Broner and starts getting lazy, I can see him becoming far more of a threat. He had this mind set of I'm untouchable so I'm going to put my hands down etc, because he dominated everyone in the ufc besides maybe Mendes, and because his reflexes are very good, but relying only on your reflexes is foolish. I find it crazy how people are acting like Diaz was simply just the better fight and will always win, and they dont address the fact that Conor fought extremely dumb, and arrogant. I'm not saying Conor beating Diaz is a sure thing, but Conor could have definitely conserved his energy better and kept his hands up more.
the guys that don't understand grappling are the guys that secretly get turned on by it,,, OBVIOUSLY, Diaz was simply the better fighter. Ellerbe never grappled because he never wanted to get pinned with a uncontrolled erection :deal
I actually like him more now. I knew he would lose to Nate, but he showed huge *****, some skills too. He was very humble in defeat and has been classy ever since the loss. He entertaining both in and out of the ring. So what's not to like?
I'm still a fan and I think he beats nate in a rematch. skillwise conor is on a whole nother level. he just lacks experience in going the distance. if he can learn to pace himself he can be a monster. he'll be back though.
I'd say I'm a fan but I don't think he's invincible. He is very flawed and always has been. I said it right after his biggest victory.
He cant go 5 rounds with the steroids he is on. Any opponent just has to make it to the 3rd round and its over. You will see.
Of course. But what's not to like, you ask? The fact that he earns more moneys in a fight than ellerbe did in his entire life
Nah, fk conor . Cant wait for this rematch should be interesting, I think conor will be far more economical this time.
Ya have to hand it to Conor. I was only a boxing fan but him, Joanna J and Rhonda got me to start giving MMA some energy. I like Nate Diaz now also. Jon Jones is pretty good also. I like Meisha Tate too, I think everybody does. She is an attractive babe.
