..just watched Sky /sports News - 4th or 5th item was Kell Brook - - NO MENTION AT ALL of the Eubank-Blackwell British Middleweight title fight, and no mention AT ALL of Blackwells condition. This from an English TV outfit. atsch This is not just an 'oversight'. I find thisneglect deeply offensive. Anyone agree?
We get fed t urd by Sky Sports News, with boxing news in particular, totally geared towards selling Pay per Poos. That Brook card last night is of zero interest to UK society and not news worthy. Everything broadcast on Sky is geared towards increasing subscriptions and for boxing, simply to sell Pay per Poos.
I agree, they're a joke. It's the same with the football, anything that isn't live on Sky they barely report on, FA cup and even the World Cup etc. Even with this policy they should definitely report on it something like this.
https://m.youtube.com/results?q=ifl&sm=3 Wonder If they will use any quotes from Eddie. He seems very down the card was awful. Liverpool looks better next week. when Eddie gets thing wrong he gets them badly wrong
The station is there to promote sports on SKY; the title of the station is the clue... SKY News, like the BBC in obliged if they wish to keep their licence, to have a more neutral viewpoint.
Fu*k that the key words are sports news!! The British boxing champion has just been beaten bad and is in a state of comatose... Thats newsworthy more so than Brook smashes another bum in 2 rounds or some fat guy from the pub who keeps screaming out Woooooo!! gets a beating on another 1 sided matchroom showcase...
I thought it wasn't right. If Sky don't hold the rights then they usually aren't interested in certain fights/sports unless it's the World Cup. As has been stated above Sky have no real remit to report all news but it was poor form last night.
It's only not on sky sports news if you can't read, it's been the lead boxing story on the info bar across the bottom all morning
No the news on Sky and BBC is approved by the Govt before broadcasting particularly on Islamic people and news.
There are standards required for News on TV that are not required in the print press. And I agree the bias against Muslim people in both print and on TV is disgraceful.
