Joshua v Martin - Gloves are off Hype

People get too caught up in what fighters say in boxing because of the modern day trend of trash talking. Ultimately, it is what the fighter feels inside that is important, not what they say. As long as AJ is confident then it won't do any harm him being respectful. Just look at the pre fight interviews fighters gave in the pre Ali era. They were usually incredibly respectful. Professional martial artists are usually respectful, too, and don't get into the braggadocio that many boxers do.

It is getting to the point now where i don't really take much notice of boxing pre fight interviews as it is more of an act these days and a way to "hype" the fight with false needle rather than any truthful insight into a fighters mentality.

not even going to bother watching this, Listening to AJ talk for 30 minutes is like watching paint dry

 

What did everyone make of this?
It's the weirdest one I've watched so far. A mixture of fear and respect from both fighters

 

Was Charles Martin high?

Eyes half shut....slow mumbling chat.... Tanning his water...

Dunno what he normally looks like but he seemed high to me

 

Jet lagged I think. Remember on the same day this was recorded he was in the sky sports news studio and he was mumbling and looking tired. He said he'd come straight from the aiport.

He was normal at the press conference the day after

 

lol he's obviously not but yeah did seem like it. I think it's just his natural energy

 

Charles Martin is laid back. Seems like a genuine bloke.
Would like to see him win this.
