Aswell as announcing wilder vs povetkin cunningham vs glowacki and algieri vs spence, FW said they had a big big announcement for a fight in May.

Surely this is the khan canelo fight?!?!

Does Wilder v Povetkin have a fixed date?

Hearn hinted that they would not run back to back monthly PPVs so it'll be Canelo/Khan.

I doubt Sky feels this will do good PPV numbers at 4am as well.

Good pickup by Boxnation if so.
I would have thought it would have leaked already if they had though.

If Sky, any chance it's not ppv?

Sky Sports and Matchroom have a deal, Khan is British so I'm assuming Hearn will have to give it the OK and if he does he will get a slice of the money if it's on Sky Sports.

I might have it wrong, no doubt one of you knowledgable lot will correct me if I'm wrong :good

Depends how much the rights fee is- if it's say £200k then it's possible.

I'd imagine that it's higher than that and Sky aren't willing to go much above their ceiling as the numbers won't be great at 4am. Sky could have every big international card if they wanted to (as the rights fees aren't huge) it's just they don't see the value in international fights starting in the middle of the night.

surely Johnny Nelson would not go Stateside for press conferences if Sky were not going to show the Khan fight.

That would be a great coup for BN, but I doubt it.

I thought ******s smug smile when he talked about the annoucement meant it had to be the khan fight. Whether you like khan or not (i'm not a fan) it will be probably one of the biggest fights if not the biggest involving a british fighter this year. So for boxnation to get it will be a big deal for the channel

  14. Putting boxing fights on a dedicated boxing channel isn't an achievement.

I get the impression that some of the Sky team would like him out there permanently!
