i've changed my mind about Martin being a cash out. I'm sticking £20 on him

the only worry is that margin is a slow starter and works his way into the fight. i fear joshua could bomb him out early. but yes ive put a nice £50 on charles martin.

Even if Martin gets blown away in 1 round he was never a "cash out".

This is a fight between two prospects, mostly unproven, we don't know how good or bad they are, and they don't yet know how good they are either !

A "cash out" (or "cash in") is when every knowledgeable fans can see that a fighter with an inflated record isn't improving or is even regressing and they take a fight that they really have no chance of winning against a proven fighter.

    That's not happening here.
Even if Joshua proves to be levels above Martin, or vice versa.
No one's being cashed out, it's a genuine stepping stone fight for both.

I am struggling to pick a winner here. My initial thought was Martin but the guy just isn't that good. However, he may have the attributes to beat Joshua. If his chin holds up and he can pick his punches a Martin stoppage isn't out of the question.

That being said if Joshua steamrolls through Martin and pummels him into submission then I wouldn't be surprised. It's a 50-50 pick em for me for different reasons. I guess it may just come down to the form on the night. If Joshua can't make a dent and starts to gas then Martin has enough to retain his belt.

    Really interesting match up.

i agree, gary cornish was a 100% cash out imo. they got a massive pay day for a fighter that was never that good and had fought absolute nobodies during his career till then. :good

It was the fact he won the title and went straight for the money name in the division. Eddie Hearn would never allow that type of thing, it's like milk the cow for whats like worth kell brook style.

Now i think, yeah the guy has a point to prove, wants to make his name and see's AJ as winnable

Martin definitely shouldn't be written off, he looks pretty good to me. I think AJ will show him some respect and come out boxing behind the jab, but wouldn't be surprised with an early KO either way. Definitely worth a bet at 9/2.

  10. AJ ain't got no jab, he can't outbox a techinical south paw.

Aj has one hope and thats to blast him out of there , but charles isn't dumb enough to stand right in front of him and trade. This isn't dillian whyte who was nothing but a brawler with some power, this is a smart boxer who will wait for openings and drag his drugged up ass into deep waters until he's blowing and then take him out from there.

Anybody Know if Martin has ever been dropped or shook up?

  12. Never.

You will see, he'll eat AJ's best shots like they're pancakes.

The guys dream fight is against George Foreman just so could feel his power.

I think Charles is going to win this and cause a big, rubbery c0ck of an upset.
