Ok this fight this weekend how does everyone see this going. I for one think that selby is overratead, and last time out against montiel no one can disagree that lee was disappointing. Hunter is a rounded fighter that can pop a bit is he going to bring enough to take the belt off selbz. I reckon this is all set up for a cracking fite where if selby comes in like he did against montiel may well be going home without his belt. Dont get me wrong i want lee to win but if fighters aint coming in straight lines it makes hard work for lee. Hes going to have to be on his game here. Im going for a selby pts win but one that will leave people questioning if hes as good as we thought he was.
I think itll be a decent fight. Im looking forward to this just as much as the main event. Hunter has 3 losses but one was a split early in his career and the other two were DQs. Although hes yet to go the full 12 rounds so its quite an intriguing match up.
Aren't you a huge Warrington fan, im sparticus? Selby rises to a challenge and will win a wide UD. He needs a meaningful fight next up.
I know josh well hes a good mate of mine. However that doesnt taint my opinion of selby ive always stated that selby is a good fighter i just dont believe hes an elite fighter like a lot do. It cant be argued that selby was bordering on struggling with montiel. Theres no way he should if struggled with him i know montiel was v.good down in his weight class but he had no buisness fighting at fw. The fact that montiel didnt come in straight lines troubled lee to the point of him starting to flap a bit. If warrington isnt good enough to beat someone in his div then ill say so and thete is a few of them. Vardez who gave selby hell when he went to the states is one of them. Diaz, loma, theres 3 straight off that would send josh packing atm imo. Fact is if you come in straight lines against selbz hell kick ur ass josh included. Mix the angles wuth speed and lees a different fighter. Good but overhyped imo
I think Selby has more to show us. Easy to write him off on the back of one average performance, but even though it wasn't prime Montiel, he's still a very good fighter who can make anybody look ordinary. My only negative thought with Selby is that he does get a bit ****y at times, and doesn't follow instructions. I'm sure as he matures he'll settle down.
Selby a G. Toughest fight yet, but I reckon he will do enough to convincingly take the win on Saturday, pretty much like he always does, even in his "average" performances
