It's a duck in a way but at the same time i'm sick of Rigo, ****er couldn't even be ****d to fight Jazza, Santa Cruz is a far more interesting fight as well certainly should deliver some good action, Rigo would stink the place out on the way to a UD.
That belt has never been legit anyway. It was a vacant interim, while the Super and Regular were already in place, upgraded to Regular with a draw against a guy who's outside of the top100 by now. You can't get it more paper as that. But it shows how Frampton (and McGuigan) want nothing to do with Rigo.
Rigo would beat Frampton but lets me honest, who wants to see that fight? It wouldn't be good to watch
Instead I'm guessing Finbar will lead him to defend his IBF against Wake in Belfast on Ch5. I'd much rather see him step up to fight Rigo but I think the fear of losing has ruled that out.
Frampton has ducked Rigo, no surprises really. They all, Frampton, Quigg, Hearn, McGuigan told us they wasn't interested in Rigo, they all stuck to the same line and backed each other up "there is not enough money in it". When others drop titles, any titles not to face their number one challenger they are given dogs abuse for ducking, I see no real reason Frampton shouldn't get the same treatment. Let's see if Quigg and Hearn are quick to throw a hat in the ring to fight Rigo for the vacant title.
And before people say "Rigo is boring", do you remember Framptons performance against a non fighting, non punching Quigg?
Good post. Unfortunately many fanboys life force depend on Framptons seminal fluid, so they can't be calling him out for blatant and shameless fraud.
You would think so wouldn't you but Hearn won't throw Quigg in with Rigo, Quigg will go and reclaim the regular belt and continue to call himself a world champion.
