    :lol: He's such a stupid little runt. The look on his face in the first round when it dawned on him what he was up against spoke volumes. Loma came out of the gates like a greyhound and the gulf in class between them was plain to see within seconds.

    He should've kept his big trap shut during the lead up to the fight, but the fact that the delusional clown is still running it and spewing feeble excuses just makes him look even more of a clown.

    Yeah he said he was exhausted from the first or second round IIRC or something to that effect. So he had nothing in his tank from the get-go but he threw more power punches in the last 3 rounds than he did earlier in the fight despite the fact that he took a beating and Loma had been reeking havoc on his ribs with meaty body shots throughout the whole fight? Yeah, right. Funny how he didn't look like someone who had been struggling badly with fatigue and exhaustion at the end of the fight either. :lol:

    I'd love to see a rematch. Boxing history has been built on them. He seems to really think that he can win a rematch and knowing how hard it is to win a rematch, I'd love to see it again. He fought like either something was wrong with him, or that he fought someone who was faster than him and didn't know how to deal with it.

    Some guys need to twist events to preserve their ego and confidence. I have no problem with Russell doing this here- that's just how some fighters are wired. The worst thing that can happen is that a fighter gets schooled and loses their confidence- that doesn't bode well for a quick bounceback, or a bounceback in general. Weird as it sounds, sometimes that denial is healthy in this profession.

    I rate Russell as a very good fighter. He's legit world class, and is the best featherweight in the world if Loma's move up is permanent IMO. He was simply up against a special talent in Lomachenko. The announcers said Lomachenko was the best he's faced; I'll take it a step further and say that Lomachenko is the best fighter Gary Russell will ever face, and nobody around would've prepared him for that.

    I thought people wrote Gary off way too much after the fight and wasn't surprised when he destroyed Gonzalez coming off this. I'm looking forward to him getting back into the mix against the top guys at feather (or 130 if he can't make it comfortably) after he takes care of Hyland.

    Loma is not Rigo level, that much I am certain of. He spent too much time in the amateur honestly.

    Guillermo didn't make his pro debut until he was 28, which is how old Loma is now.
