I'm routing for Joshua, I think its much better for boxing if he wins. Plus, I think he will win. But Martin is a live underdog and I'm wondering where they go next if Joshua suffers an unexpected setback? Hopefully they don't go the Price route, and just hide his head, go into exile, face bums for a couple years before finally facing a fringe contender and being so scared at that point he collapses immediately. Would rather see him get right back into facing fringe contenders; Molina, Ruiz, or even Price (which would make a lot of marketing sense) would be good picks to set him up to right himself. When Wlad lost to Purrity, he actually started facing better comp. That would be the way to go for Joshua imo.
a loss should not derail his career wlad lost sauerland quickly rebuilt his ranking and he went on to a absolute stellar career i see joshua being a very hard to beat fighter when he has had 25 fights under his belt / but at 15 fights he still makes lots of mistakes and is far from the finished article. todays 0 is to important it should be about resume and a loss not meaning we write off fighters the ammount of bum comments on esb to any fighter with a loss is childish. i like fighters to be matched competitivly who wants to watch 40 to 1 on fights all the time/ which is what a lot of the diet promoters feed us.
agree entirely. i guess chisora would be a good next opponent if he loses, and i wouldn't be surprised if they made it even if he wins.
I agree too, re: a loss shouldn't be considered the end of his career or his chance to become a champ or even an atg. Re: Chisora, I guess if Chisora loses to Pulev it might make sense, although unless he's not competitive with Pulev and locks shot it might be asking a bit much for Joshua coming off a loss and never having beaten anyone of that caliber. Ruiz, Price or Molina are at best only slight improvements from Whyte or Johnson, and would be a good way to ease him back into it without going total bum route.
