    Inside the IBF's top 15.
    Was champ until recently.
Only man to go the distance with Wilder - could be sold as a guy who can take AJ rounds?
With Fury and Haye out of the equation for a while, imagine this sort of 'test' would be ideal from Hearn's point of view. He'll try to keep him out of harms way so he can keep him fresh for those big UK fights.

What do you all think? #1 likely candidate? predictions...?

It would be an ideal opponent but winner of Chisora vs pulev and Parker would be in line first.

Stiverne is a fat sausage, easy fight. Teper if he is unbanned would lay out Joshua.

Parker Takam winner doesnt have to fight AJ until Jan.

Ideal they would wait till then for that fight as it will be AJs toughest fight to date.

Pulev/Chisora winner would be good around October.

Anyone in July will do TBH

Fighting every 3 months is very good for a world champ.

I give him credit for beating Martin like he did. I would give him credit for blitzing Teper too.

I'd much rather see him take on Stiverne than Malik Scott (see twitter).

Stiverne is a good standard of opponent for this stage of Joshua development. As a world title defense, he is a bit of a joke though

I'm ok with it given the big names are all scheduled for fights already (Fury/Klitschko, Chis/Pulev, Wilder/Povetkin). I guess the next best thing is a) what would help him at this stage of his development & b) a sellable fighter to the UK fans. I think Stiverne ticks those boxes tbh given he went 12 with Wilder and was a champ. He's going to be facing Parker sooner or later, so he won't be able to go on a tomato can run for the next 12/18 months.

Stiverne probably hits abit to hard to make sense in the old risk/reward scale. Also Hearn and maybe even AJs team are not interested in him doing rounds - the casuals love AJs quick blowouts and fast Eddie is happy to supply opponents to meet that criteria until he puts him in with Haye/Fury next summer.

    Stiverne is perfect

Good enough power to make it 'dangerous'

Went the distance with wilder sp either AJ goes rounds or he makes a statement by stopping him.

His technique and ability is good enough to give AJ his toughest test in terms of boxing.

    Former champ

    Known name in the states
