he looked very good and controlled and all round showed a lot of skill, got to say ilbay was tough as nails
Yeah he was always in control. I just think that he should have thrown his right more as it seemed he could hit Ilbay at will. Maybe that would have ended fight earlier, but anyway Ilbay is only 21 and he was really tough especially keeping in mind that he was boxing at the level he was not ready yet.
tbh im not sure ilbay could be stopped, he seems to have a granite chin and is unshakeable and is also unbeaten and young which makes him mentally even tougher. he went about the job the right way didnt get over excited and kept his defense tight
Kavaliauskas needs to feint, he boxed well but was too predictable that's why he couldn't take Ilbay out
he couldnt take out ilbay imo becuase the guy was as tough as nails. he got hit with clean combos form a big punchers and didnt even budge , some guys just dont go down
Yeah I agree. Also there were few oppotunities for counters as Ilbay sometimes opened his attacks unprotected. I think he should work on this in the gym. And he could have just thrown that right all night until Ilbay made an adjustment. I agree that he is tough, but with more punishment fight probably would have been stopped even if without knockout. Kavaliauskas looks just big and physically very strong for welterweight.
