And if you say the name Manny Pacquiao what fighters names do you think of? It's Barrera, Marquez and Morales. Floyd doesn't even register on Pacquiao's legacy radar because he was 5-6 years too late.

Mayweather's lasting legacy is he never had the fight. He never had the showdown.

Ok, their fight together might have some relevance, but we're talking about their overall careers and legacies and in terms of overall legacy and ATG status Pacquiao surely has the edge.

Maywether, great as he was, doesn't really have a career defining fight, Pacauiao has several.

Saying Floyd was "H2H better" is a little bit of a stretch considering they both fought eachother way past their primes, and Pacquiao just coming off a knockout loss. If they had fought back in their primes I would favor Pacquiao without a doubt.

Mayweather fans shouldn't be so hard on the Pacquiao fans.

Pacquiao is gone now and they have to live with the undeniable fact Mayweather beat their idol for the rest of their lives, forget how, when and all the other rubbish they talk. It's undeniable (unless you play it backwards in slow motion at a 45 degree angle).

They were and some still are emotionally invested in Pacquiao, they cried, whined and threw accusations around (the very same accusations they said were disgusting when aimed at Pacquiao) when Marquez completely destroyed their idol.

Some took the Mayweather loss so badly in Pacquiao's homeland they committed suicide.

So I ask you Mayweather fans to be gentle, let them rant about Pacquiao's legacy and all time great status and just smile, safe in the knowledge Mayweather will always be a huge scar in their minds and hearts.

 

You are missing the fact that niether were welterweights and only came to the division chasing money . If it was when Tito Oscar Ike and Shane were peaking they both would have stayed at lightweight . Just face the fact neither are that great in the welter divsion . The division was just weak and they both picked there fights but Floyd seemed insanely scare to fight anyone while there form was white hot.

 

people argue about the castillo fight but about half go with floud and half go with castillo. That was an injured floyd though and he clearly wom the rematch. Woth Maidana almost all or all experts gave it to floyd and again he clearly won the rematch and with DLH it was a clear victory, why would the judges favor the unknown fighter against the cash cow?

 

Maybe in terms of being an underdog, but to this day even at 40 PBF would be favored over guys as high as MW.

Manny to me has more recognisable names, Mayweather has the higher quality names.
