Charles Martin clearly beat the count. He deserves an immediate rematch.

martin got up at the refs count of 10
even though in actual seconds on the clock was 15 from when he went down

he was clear eyed and had fully recupererated from his knockdowns and would have been alright to continue.

he should have brushed himself off / got up took the rest of the count on his feet and he would have been allowed to box on.

staying down until the ref has counted 9 and is counting 10 makes no sense when you are able to get up.

the belgium ref was definatley not quick counting as the tv ring clock showed.

IMO along with 95% of posters it was academic anyway / joshua was putting his feet in the right position to tee off on martin and martin was /has poor balance issues when he leads off causing him to be wide open for counters.

He looked pretty awful to be honest, must be one of the weakest HW champions ever.

 

The "champ" did that **** on purpose. Every fighter knows the latest you wait to get up at is 8.

 

Martin isn't whining like a baby like Whyte, demanding a rematch after getting his ass handed to him. Martin seems to be far more level headed than Whyte, and has a far better chance at picking up the pieces and remaining a fairly relevant force in the HW landscape.

Martin didn't even know how to measure distance and stay away from the right hand or use his feet after getting dropped, He just walked back to the same spot and got caught by the same right hand smh

The BBoC rules are clear, if you're still raising after 9 you'll be counted out basically. Standing up is as good as being flat on your back

 

Could have been allowed continue as he had enough left that he might have produced a counter but it's his own fault. Just glad I did not pay £16.95 to watch the farce.

 

personally I'd see that as a WBF/IBO level of title win, like the 90s WBO.
