the first thing that came to mind after watching Joshua destroy martin was Dillian white must have one of the best chins in boxing, was taking the same shots as martin for 7 rounds and was still fighting back, white is a tough tough man.

Martin is terrible and was only there for a the payday, but some of us already knew that. Dillian Whyte is indeed a tough man and I'm not sure if him lasting as long as he did and taking those shots is all down to his chin or just the fact that so far, he's the only Joshua opponent who has come into the ring with the intention of actually winning.

Whyte has a granite chin. So as soon as Joshua lands its lights out. Dillian took load of flush shots and kept marching forwards. The knock out was from a shot he didn't see

That was definitely a better Anthony Joshua, he was quicker and much more precise, didn't waste anything in those two rounds. Whyte I do believe is a good fighter and he will go on to improve Joshua's record in my opinion as he is a tough man to beat but I don't believe for a minute he will ever beat Joshua or be at the very top of heavyweight boxing.

Whyte did better than Martin against Joshua, but Whyte Martin is a 50/50 proposition.

We know now that Martin did the right thing by cashing out against Joshua. No way he would have beaten a decent challenger.
And 2, the WBC did the right thing not allowing Wilder a unification with Martin instead of finally facing his #1 contender.

Hes on sky today putting forward his case for a rematch

I assume what he has said about being injured is correct? Certainly if he has had to have major surgery on his shoulder

David Haye and his ruined people's perceptions of injuries in boxing. Just because he choked and ran away before lying about his toe everyone now doubts boxing injuries. If a boxer is injured and carries on they should be praised rather than doubted. It is pathetic how many people view an injury that required surgery as just an excuse. The fact is that AJ struggled against a man who was injured in his previous fight and again during the fight to the extent that required immediate surgery. I think that Whyte will come back strong and has a big future with some interesting UK fights including AJ.

I think a fitter Whyte is a live dog vs Joshua, he almost had him out of there.

All this talk i keep seeing and hearing about if Joshua catches you clean 'it's lights out' is quite amusing.

Martin was caught clean twice in a row and was still very much concious, just decided be didnt wanna get up and sat on his fat ass.

Also did anyone notice just how tight Martins shorts were? So tight he could barely move and get off the canvas.

Taking those punches in round 2 compared to later rounds are completely different. If he can deliver that power round 8 on wards it's definitely lights out

I agree with the above post.

For me, the fight didn't even prove that Martin's chin was cracked. He was just caught with a big punch that knocked him over, and was then caught with the same punch again, same result.

It wasn't like his legs went rubbery, or his eyes went glassy. The sad truth is he proved inept as a boxer, and didn't have the heart to get up.
The first time he went down, he smiled and nodded, and I thought he'd get up and at least attempt to do something a bit cute. Even running and grabbing would have been an effort or a demonstration of average ability. Instead, he walked straight into the same thing. And then quit.

    Martin was awful.

Joshua obviously has power, but that wasn't a brain-scrambling KO punch, those were just solid blows against a guy who had no recoil and poor balence.
