Who had the greater hype?: Mike Tyson or Joshua

Multiply Joshua's hype by 10 & you're still not close. And there was no social media rubbish.

LIke other posters have said - the hype that Joshua is getting is about one tenth of the hype that Tyson had at the time, the difference is absolutely enormous.

As with regards with your certainty on Joshua, sounds more of a fanboy statement, rather than a knowledgeable boxing opinion. Joshua is talented, but in reality, he is still very much unproven against even a decent opponent.

 

interesting ly, tysons world career was in the process of wrapping up at a younger age than joshuas is just starting.

 

Watched a video of a young Lennox destroying some poor bes**** and all the commentators were talking about was the overblown HYPE.

Tyson at the time deserved the accolades, so did Lennox and now Joshua. Tyson was seen as an unbeatable animal, Joshua ' s accomplishments have been overblown as was Tyson unbeatable mystique. Tyson was a superstar at 21.
