Used to like him, not anymore. If he loses to Khan, I'd love to see the looks on his and ODLH's faces.

I give him a lot of credit for fighting Lara because he was a bad match-up and GBP weren't keen on making the fight but he wanted it.

The Cotto fight was a no-brainer - big money and very winnable.

Khan? That's easy money. If he fights GGG after this then I'll have no complaints at all. I have a feeling he won't though.

He is a diva that somehow absorbed the diva poison from Floyd. He talks like Floyd now, gives the same tired speaches, fights as rarely and actively seeks to defeat his opponents on the scales and scorecards than by boxing in the ring.

His terrible stamina is a direct result of cutting an ungodly amount of weight and rehydrating to light heavyweight. He is essentially another Chavez Jr, only shorter and better managed.

If Haymon would have taken Canelo also Golden Boy would have been in real trouble. They have no one else really.

This is true. Go to the local carwash and see how many paisas respect Canelo. They think he is a clown and a joke.

Good solid fighter. Not likely to be "great", he may get a little better from here on but just not talented and skilled enough to get past the good/very good level.

He's kind of slow of foot while his hand speed is above average. He puts his punches together pretty well. His power is decent, nothing more. He is a sharp counterpuncher.

The Khan fight is a mismatch. Canelo is considerably bigger than Khan and also simply a better fighter. Khan is a chinny welterweight and less skilled than Canelo. Canelo and Cotto were showing technical skills and maneuvers that Khan could only dream about doing. Alvarez's 155 lb. **** is annoying, all the catchweight **** in boxing is just annoying and bad for the sport. Canelo has fought some stern opposition in his career so some have gone easier on him about his 155 lb. middleweight champ nonsense. I just look at it simple: he deserves praise when he fights tough opposition and deserves criticism over the Caneloweight stuff.

    Right on.....

The kid has taken several tough fights so I'm not completely giving up yet. At the end of the day you got to get paid and get out of the game in one piece, but such blatant moves as holding the MW belt hostage and dragging up a chinny JWW, it's a drastic change of course so it's frustrating

But yeah ultimately he's going to grow out of Caneloweight and he is going to struggle without the size advantage manipulations. So we got some career management to suffer through here

He just filmed a Tecate commercial so maybe he was keeping his face in one piece to get that accomplished. So let's go break this glass real quick and maybe we can get back to business

Considering Pacquiao is truly retired, Alvarez is easily the biggest name in the sport today.
