Khan is a tall, rangy “welterweight” who is outgrowing that division and is essentailly a Light Middleweight for all intents and purposes. This is Light Middleweight + 1. The +1 being important because it’s in the Middleweight division.

Khan’s willingness to move up and make the biggest fight out there is good for boxing. Here we have a situation where a 155 catchweight actually makes sense and is fair to both fighters.

No, the MW title is a digrace to the MW title. Canelo won that joke of a title from Cotto who won it at a catchweight, who defended it twice at a catchweight.

The belt is tainted and should not be given much credibilty.

The WBC allowed this to happen, and Miguel Cotto took advantage.

Canelo is one of the few big names out there willing to fight top fighter after top fighter. If only other fighters such as GGG were willing to do the same regardless of a few pounds.

 

A bunch of idiots who don't reralize that the title is garbage and that Canelo did not create the CW for this title. Who did he beat to win it? Who did that fighter beat and defend it against and at what weight?

It seems every fighter is willing to compromise something to make the fights happen except for GGG.

Was Cotto a disgrace when he drained Geale to 157?

How is this fight more disgraceful than those two examples? What’s disgraceful is when fighters try to weaken their opponents and make them unhealthy.

Uh, neither those two guys invented CWs. In fact the belt that Canelo has he won it from a fighter who won it at a CW, defended it at a CW, and lost it at a CW.

Bernard Hopkins and Marvin Hagler both defended their titles against former LWs and WWs at the full 160 limit.

Why did Hopkins face WW ODLH, Trinidad, Jr. MW Wright? Why did Hagler face LW Duran, WW Leonard, WW Hearns?

Why was GGG willing to face WW Mayweather, Lightweight Pacquiao?

Canelo fought extremely slick and slipperyt Lara despite his camp advising against it, he fought very slick Trout after he humiliated Cotto, he faced Angulo who almost KTFO Lara, faced power punching Kirkland, and faced P4P#1 Mayweather at a catchweight benefiting Mayweather.

Why doesn't GGG have the same drive and ambition to make fights happen regardless of compromises.

 

I don't really see Canelo parading his titles around. Canelo is bigger than that JOKE of a title at MW. The WBC MW title is tainted..

 

Cotto won it at a Catchweight, Cotto successfully defended it at a CW, and Cotto lost it to Canelo at a CW.

Canelo can drop the belt, hand deliver it to GGG, offer the fight at 155, and GGG would probably still decline... Who is really ducking who?

Canelo already said 155... GGG hasn't attempted to all Canelo's bluff or counter with something else.
