Because British people don't have an irrational fear/hatred of Russians, unlike the Americans, who just brandish steroid accusations.

:huhWhich ones? You lump me in the K "crew", but I'm picking Wilder. Seems to me most posters who put a premium on height are picking Wilder. I've noticed some racist posters on here, both anti black and anti white, but they are relatively few compared to the stronger divide of posters who believe size and progress matters vs those who believe size is irrelevant and there is no such thing as boxing progress.

Also, matchups matter. While picking Wilder, I give Povetkin a very strong chance here because while their last 4 fights are about even, Povetkin is much more proven overall. But, I'm picking Chisora to beat Pulev (smaller, black HW vs white SHW), though Chisora is the big underdog, because I like the matchup. Pulev is a fairly small SHW, doesn't have a high work rate or a lot of power, which is perfect for a style like Chisora's.

Point is, apart from a vocal minority, I don't think too many people factor race into many of their opinions.

Povetkin has an excellent chin though. Not the best denesive fighter, but his skills are miles ahead of Wilder. He should win this

I'm still not sold on Wilder being all that to be honest. I think Pov smashes him but should Wilder win he'll get full credit from me

Wilder for me but he will have to get off the floor and come on strong late.

He always finds a way to win I will be staggered if this goes 12

    What?

Povetkin's chin is very questionable as is Wilders

The only evidence we have of his chin being questionable was his loss to the leaning tower of pizda. But the fact he went the distance despite numerous knock downs strikes me as being more symptomatic of fatigue rather than a weak chin. If your legs and core are shot, you're more likely to fall to your **** regardless of how much a particular shot did or didn't hurt you.
Check some of the counters he took from Takam, who was well in that fight until the end of the 9th, Povetkin is a tough man from what I've seen.

As for my actual verdict, I'd say about 80/20 in favour of Sasha. Wilder can't swing and brawl like he usually does against Povetkin and will have to produce his most disciplined performance of his career to win. Whilst I'm sure he CAN fight like that, I'm just doubtful he'll be able to pull it out the bag come a hostile night in front of 14,000 jeering Russians.

Povetkin will badly knock him out and we will all have to reconsider if we will allow frauds like the Wilder title reign occur from here on in.

I'm siding with the minority,I think Wilder's jab and handspeed wil be the decisive factor. Povetkin is fairly easy to tag and Wilder also has that big right hand.
If Wilder can keep it at long range ,I think he pulls it off.
