I think Showtime. Remember Palle tried to revive his fight too late and claimed HBO thought it was a "done deal" and Miranda was pissing them off? :rofl

Ring intelligence? Well, it might be smart to cover up for 2:30 of every round and flurry for the last 30 in Germany, but that won't fly here.

I'm surprised to see so many people picking Abraham. I know that once they get in the ring it's just the 2 of them but let me tell u, the crowd will be 99.9% pro-Miranda with the other 0.1% being Abraham's cornermen. I try not to get caught up in things like that because the crowd can't win the fight for you but Abraham's first real fight away from his home turf is not being held in some neutral site. This is right in Edison's backyard. King Arthur is walking into a hornet's nest and you better believe that Miranda's gonna feed off that crowd.

No he hasn't done more then Miranda, who fought:

Willie Gibbs. Not that good and clearly overmatched. Miranda made quick work of him, finishing him off in the first.

Allen Green. Miranda fought the prospect that was suppose to take over the division, beated the crap out of him and almost knocked him out.

Kelly Pavlik. Miranda lost a war to this future middleweight champion and top 10 p4p'er by 7th round knockout. This is clearly the best opponent on his resume but he has a L next to it.

Henry Porass. Journeyman, not a very good win.

David Banks. Very talented but very green. Gave Miranda trouble early but was clearly overmatched. Got knocked the **** out in the 3rd in what is the lead candidate for KO of the year so far.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During the same ammount of time, Abraham fought:

Sebastien Demers. Undefeated and talented but very inexperienced and it showed early in the fight. Won by 3rd round KO.

Khoren Grevor. Good fighter, mandatory challenger who gave a good fight to the champion. Won by 11th round brutal KO.

Wayne Ellock. Never heard of him before. He took a few rounds until Abraham started working and knocked him out in the 5th. Impressive kayo but this guy isn't high level competition.

Elvin Ayala. Talented fighter but was clearly there to survive once he saw he had no chance. His movement gave Abraham trouble until he was knocked down by a right hand. From that point on he ran for most of the remaming rounds until he got knocked out in impressive fashion by a left uppercut. Oh and he lost twice to Banks so enough said.

Good post. And let's not forget the X factor. All of Abraham fights have been under a Sauerland card. That itself makes Abraham wins less impressive since everything is set to help Abraham with a win. Not just in the ring, but the week prior Sauerland pulls his tricks to make the opposition as uncomfortable as possible.

Only Miranda's last two fights were a Warrior's promoted card. He took short notice, tougher fights, on other promoter's cards.

Abraham hasnt faced anyone with power since his jaw was cracked in two places. He may have his confidence back, but when he feels that first right hand to his jaw, he may be thinking, 'what the hell did I get myself into'. Memories of drinking juice through a straw for weeks will start coming back to mind and he may start to run!

Miranda is tailor made for Abraham. Miranda' firepower is totally overrated and his crude skills dont pose a serious threat to Abraham.
The Columbian wasnt able to stop a severely injured opponent with a broken jaw so how on earth will he able to stop a healthy version of Abraham?
Besides Abraham was on the way to a victory when Miranda connected with a lucky punch and broke his jaw.
Nevertheless, even with a broken jaw Abraham almost managed to take out Miranda in round 9 of their encounter.
Assuming that there wont be another injury Abraham will stop Miranda within the distance of 12 rounds.I cant really see Miranda go the full route with a healthy Abraham.
Abraham has problems with fast and slick movers as could be seen in his last fight with Ayala or in his encounter with Gardner, but Abraham isnt exactly known for his mobility inside a box ring.

The main course was afaik an open mouth at the time of impact not the punchpower of Miranda. So it is not likely that it will happen again....

Mirandas emotions are gonna go haywire he cant controll them ,hes gonna be out for the haymaker from the start, what he wont take into account is aa will see then coming a mile off just like the 1st fight, miranda will be gassed by round 5 and aa will pile on the pressure for a tko by round 7-8.

Abraham looks like a slow, stiff, musclebound Euro version of Jeff Lacy. He's terrible ....

    Your posts are so ridiculous!
Miranda connected with a lucky punch?
Miranda was almost taken out in Round 9?
Ayala who couldnt even beat David Banks was 10 seconds away from going the distance but Miranda will not?

I saw the fight 2-2 when the broken jaw happened late in Round 4. After that, although Abraham had his moments, Miranda basically chased Abraham around the ring. Minus the points (which I wont even waste my time with) Miranda easily won on points.

You say without the broken jaw Abraham wins, I say without the corrupt ref Miranda easily wins. Talk to you after the fight! :hi:

Bah! Styles make fights. Ayala is a mobile runner, and so is Gardner. Abraham had problems with both of the aforementioned fighters.
MIranda is no slick and fast mover.Thats for sure. He is constantly on the attack.Abraham isnt that good at chasing his opponent throught the ring.He wont have to do that against Miranda in their upcomming encounter.Thats for sure as well!
Thats why Ayala was able to go almost the full distance with Abraham, and MIranda wont.

And yes,Abraham hurt Miranda in round 9 of their encounter, and would have taken him out in that round if he hadnt suffered a shattered jaw. Rewatch round 9 !

Lucky punch? Of course it was a lucky punch.Miranda connected with a lucky punch when Abraham opened his mouth to take a breather.
You saw the fight 2-2 when the broken jaw happend late in round 4,eh!
Which rounds did you give to Miranda apart from round 2??????? Makes me wonder which fight you really watched!

Miranda bascially chased Abraham around the ring,eh!
You are surely right in saying that Miranda did chase Abraham around the ring in the later rounds, but the name of this game is connecting with some telling punches. Miranda seldom connected with any telling punches at all whereas Abraham-even with a shattered jaw-connected with some very good shots(once again: rewatch round 9)

Minus the points MIranda easily won that fight. I totally disagree with you.Abraham was the defending champ fighting in his backyard. What the hell should Miranda have dethroned a reigning champ by just chasing a badly hurt opponent around the ring without being able to connect with some good shots.Abraham was the one who connected with the far more telling punches and hurt his foe several times in the later rounds.

Corrupt ref? He was American, not Armenian or German. He should have probably stopped the fight due to Abraham's severe injury. I think if I had been the ref I would have stopped the fight either in that infamous round 5 or later in round 6 or 7. Abraham could have been damaged for good in that fight.Anyway! He didnt stop that fight, and Miranda didnt win the fight by outpointing Abraham within the distance of 12 rounds.
Miranda is a bully,a thug with crude skills and good but overrated firepower.
You must be a member of his family to be a fan of his.
His behaviour before ,during ,and after a fight is just shameful and classless.
A bigmouth who plays dirty as soon as he realizes that he cant win a fight by legal means.

Anyway! Lets wait and see how he fares against a healthy version of Artur Abraham!

Props to him for rematching Abraham!

Apart from Pavlik vs ABraham the Armenian's rematch with Miranda is one of the most expected and promising fights at middle weight.
I am really looking forward to watching Abraham dismantle your boy systematically in the course of 6-7 rounds and taking him out in round 8 or 9.
