Back to back struggle fights at 135. Solid fighter but not the knockout artist that Arum is trying to push. He is a conventional boxer. Hopefully he stays at 135 for a while. The 140 division will be tough for him and 147 is out of the ****ing question.
I didn't see it, so really wondering what your definition of "struggling" is. If I watch a one sided fight where it's just not close, you should check your Websters childrens dictionary because he struggled for a total of zero rounds against a tough undefeated fighter last time out. By tmw I'll know how lost you truly are. If it's close to his last fight then, you're simply beyond help
Didn't see the fight but I don't doubt it. Verdejo is severely overrated as well as his power. I want him to succeed and do great things but I just don't see it. He shows flashes of brilliance sometimes and other times he looks like a lost puppy. Honestly he better get a different trainer or do something soon, cause he's ripe for the taking.
He won UD but he is touted as a KO guy. aying that he had a tough fight against Silva like Silva was a beast is like saying Dominic Wade is the hardest fight of GGGs career. Silva was suppose to take an impressive loss just like Rodriguez was suppose to tonight.
So if Verdejo ends up going on to become a known, relevant, well ranked fighter... this will be the fight people unearth to claim he REALLY lost his zero in? Fun times.
