ok you know what, I thought about looking at it from your perspective and I see why you're pessimistic. We're in a thread where the OP says he's the most complete fighter he's seen since Floyd and predicts he'll be #1 by 2016.

I get it, I don't even agree with what he said. Spence is legit though and will become a champion. How far will he go, I don't know? But I'm just here trying to check some of the idiots here saying how he has "average speed" or trying to downgrade his level of opposition when he's moving along faster than many top level fighters were

 

what prospects are being moved slower than him

just because two gob****e agree on something doesn't make it fact it just shows gob****es are attracted making fools of themselves

im not downgrading him his a good prospect but thats a ridiculous statement to make by the op. his in the same catagory as about 20-30 other prospects

 

Oscar Valdez hasn't fought the level of competition he has. None of the other American Olympians are.

Devon Alexander didn't really step up until his 5th year as a pro vs Junior Witter.

Look at who Keith Thurman was fighting at 24 and in his second year as a pro.

It took Kell Brook forever to finally step up

Just some examples at welterweight

 

Errol Spence is the truth. I can easily see him holding a couple of belts in the near future.

 

Oscar Valdez comp is as good if not better and was a better amateur

Alexander turned pro at 17, he was a world champion at the same age Spence went pro if your using example don't use ones that work against you

again Thurman is only a year a month older than Spence, when thurman was the age spence is now he had already beaten Chavas,Zaveck,Soto Karass, Quintana. Again bad example


when Brook was Spence's age he had beaten Jennings ,Jackiewicz, and Ndou better than what Spence has fought, he also had way less amateur experince and if you don't remember Kell Brook recieved more flak than maybe any fighter i can remember for not stepping up, and because of that people questioned his ability

Valdez's competition isn't better. He doesn't have a Lartey or Cruz on his resume

And you can't directly compare Spence to a lot of these guys since they didn't go pro at the same age. Kovalev didn't turn pro until he was 26 years old. Should I sh*t on him because Canelo had a title by the time he was 22? No that's stupid.

You have to take the time these guys were pro and how old they are both into consideration. Truth is, Spence is 24 years old and in his second year as a professional.
Kell Brook was fighting complete scrubs in his second year. 3-26-0 type of scrubs.

Then when he was 24, he was fighting Michael Jennings and Philip Kotey though he had already been a pro for 6 years by that time.

and Keith Thurman at the same age had been a pro for 5 years.

 

how would you know do you follow the featherweight scene that closely?

the facts you used didn't suit your argument so now your trying to put slants on it to make it sound better

Spence is a good prospect same about 30-50 other fighters i wouldn't put him in the class of an elite prospect just yet he hasn't done anything what so ever to deserve it but beat cans

 

He's not in the class of a Beterbiev or Usyk, but he's near the top.

and the facts I said are all true. Those guys weren't doing anything in their second years as pros. A 24 year old fighter who just turned pro isn't going to be fighting the same level of opponents as a 24 year old who's been pro for 5 years.
I guarantee you it won't take Spence 5-6 years to step it up also.

All of this will be for nothing though when he steps up big next year

Good to see you're still around. What do you think about Russell jr. He's look good I think he beasts everyone at 126 but loma who still in my opinion still has too much lateral movement for him. With that said I still want to see a rematch.
