I'm looking forward to seeing their rubber match, being an old school WEC fan. They also have legit bad-blood. They appeared on Fox Sports Live together and you can tell how much they just flat out don't like each other. Also, from what I remember, very aesthetically complementary styles in the cage. Neither is quite in their prime anymore but they both have plenty left going by recent performances, and both have fought tooth and nail to stay relevant despite adversity (injuries for Dominick, setback losses for Urijah) and have kept themselves in the mix. Rockhold vs. Weidman II is probably going to get most of the attention in the run-up to 199, but this is the main event for me.
You didn't think Cali Kid looked impressive in his bantamweight return? Saenz was on a nice 7-0 run including 3-0 in KOTC title fights and 3-0 in the UFC.
I just don't like him. And after the UFC Unstoppable press conference, i just got really excited about Rockhold vs Weidman II - and the fact i am more interested in the heavier weightclasses makes a difference. :good
Unless Cruz has lost a lot in the last 12 months after injury and a tough first up fight to reclaim the belt, i just can't see the bloke who's been shot in the chin beating him.
I psyched about this fight as well. Also began watching these guys in WEC. Seeing Cruz beat Dillashaw I have to think Cruz closer to prime than Faber, but I would love to see Faber win. Got a weird feeling he's going to pull it off. I'm just as excited about Rockhold Vs. Weidman, maybe moreso. Weidman is almost obsessive about beating Rockhold and I don't think that's good. He's putting too much pressure on himself, but I'd love to see him win.
Faber! I'm hope so anyway...I can't stand Cruz. Faber's gonna have to work faster though if he expects to win this.
