WBA "Jacobs Mandatory Enforced if Canelo Vacates"

I wouldn't mind seeing this match. Saunders is underrated in terms of his technical ability. I wonder, has GGG faced anyone with his skillset?

 

Not in the pro ranks I'd say. A slick southpaw with very good chin and decent power. But if he goes into full survival mode after the 6th rd, he has no chance.

 

In between Jacobs & Canelo.

 

The fight can be on HBO regardless who wins the bid, HBO would just work with Jacobs' promoter (Dibella?) to make the fight.

GGG is not leaving HBO.

 

It's sounds like Khan with an iron chin or Malignaggi with power.

Jacobs has the edge in height, reach and handspeed.

Golovkin has the edge in chin, punching power and effective aggression.

They're right about neck-and-neck in punching accuracy, footwork, defensive prowess and overall boxing ability.

Win probability is likely in Golovkin's favor 70/30-ish, but to say that Jacobs has "no" chance is just asinine.

True but I've rarely seen a fighter with bad stamina dramatically improve it to be honest .

 

Jacobs better try to go for a knockout. That's pretty much his only shot in this fight.

I see Gennady probably knocking him out cold inside 6 rounds. I like Danny a lot and he has a great story. I just think stylistically he'll end up trading in the pocket for a second too long and will pay the price for that.

It'll be interesting to see how Gennady takes Jacobs' power though. Danny has to try and go for the kill from the opening bell to have a puncher's chance of beating him.
