This is why I don't see how Fury can really criticise.

Yes Joshua has the belt but his still only 16 fights in. If he wasn't champ and was fighting the same opponent people would still criticise.

 

Fury wasn't headlining PPV's against Firtha though.

Despite Fury looking like he's in his early 40's, AJ is still only one year younger than him, so the critisism is valid regardless of number of fights.

 

They moved Joshua very quickly because Martin was a very winnable fight and the IBF rankings are ridiculous (example, Dan and Bizier were mandatories at 147) and they probably know they have plenty of time to knock over a few bang average heavyweights and charge the morons £17 a pop (plus Sky money and Gate) and make a lot of money.

They will justify it by saying "Joshua is basically still a novice if you look at rounds boxed" and "he is still learning" and that's all well and good if you're British or even European champion but Joshua is a World Champion. If you move that quickly then you have to fight genuine contenders but you look at the names mentioned, Molina, Breazeale, Stiverne, those other names won't be forgotten, they will be pencilled in for later.

Hearn, who's job it is to make money first and think reputation and legacy later will be telling Joshua he will have his career defining fights down the line and do exactly what he has done with Brook. Hearn will talk a great game, name all the big names and then come back with the likes of Molina and say we couldn't make those fights because nobody wants to fight Joshua or they priced themselves out.

It's a tried and tested method with Brook and they will abuse the IBF rankings, abuse the paying public until they have nowhere else to go and then really "roll the dice" and fight a Haye or Fury because if they take a risk they will do it for huge money.

But Fury is the one who has beaten the legitimate champion who just so happens to be a top5/10 ATG at heavyweight.

Joshua has yet to fight beyond British level.
