Well, Golovkin's gonna do like Hopkins did 15-20 years ago, just keep fighting his mandatories at 160 and keeping his belts until one of these "threat titlists" decides to put their big boy pants on and fight him. And why shouldn't he? You didn't see Trinidad dodging Bernard did you? No, he went right for Hopkins at 160, even though he ended up getting his @ss kicked. Saunders, Alvarez, they're all chickens.

 

How is GGG to get the fights? Im not for or against GGG, but he does seem like the one wanting the fights and his opponents that dont seem as eager. What do you think GGG is to do?

The difference is Kovalev would of took a 90/10 split an catchweight and beat up Alvarez in Mexico for making him jump through hoops.

Kovalev is also much higher on the p4p list than GGG, much higher

 

To be more spesific, hopkins fought and defended his belt against his mandos until he got beaten. He did what champions are supposed to do, and he did that a long time.
