Did all those bashing Joshua actually watch Wlad - Fury?

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by JackieFitzgeral, Apr 26, 2016.

  1. All this rightful champ nonsense.

Wlad and Fury kicked up a stink fest that would have driven away the interest from heavyweight boxing yet again were it not for someone like Joshua. His brand of exciting boxing is keeping the casuals in and the interest high; not Fury's brand of ***ist, ****phobic, misogynist rubbish.

Fury will get what is coming to him shortly. He won't be fighting a scared old man when Joshua decides to give him a pay day.

Fury did what he had to, he got the win. But the reality was the best action was the ring walks.

Lets see what happens in the rematch first, the truth is the heavyweight division is poor from top to bottom.

end of the day fury beat a man who the majority said was going to knock him spark out, very few gave him a chance and he got the win and got the belts

The Furys were dumb enough to sign a rematch clause on a mandatory, they have no right to complain about being stripped.

    Yep, agreed.

I think Fury just so happens to be built to beat an old Wladimir, who built his success on jab/grab and defence first against smaller men.

I could see Fury struggling with AJ, Povetkin, Wilder and even Haye. I don't think Fury has the best whiskers and anyone that can really bang and is world class or thereabouts has a good chance against him.

What a load of *******s. You weren't calling Wlad a 'scared old man' prior to their fight. World Champ, deal with it :yep

Fury will play with Joshua untill he decides to knock him out around round 8. Joshua has been hit clean once in 16 fights..one punch and he nearly unravelled.

If you want to know what happens in this fight go and watch calzaghe v lacy again, another over hyped pumped up muscleman so called Olympian battered into oblivion. Fury would embarrass Joshua.

The Fury lovers have forgotten that he's been knocked on his **** by nobodies and his only worthy opponent was a washed up old man.. Do people believe Fury would have gone 12 rounds with VK if VK was 5 or 10 younger :patsch . Fury is way overated all he will do is lean his shapeless lard ****d flabby love handled frame on anyone he fights.. I can't wait to see him sparked clean out :bbb

Fury's win over Wlad is miles better than anything AJ has done.
    He's the legitimate world champion.
Only a moron or a hater would argue otherwise.

Dull fights are part of boxing. I hate dull fights as much as the next man, but dull fights happen, even when the two best fighters in the world square off.
The fact that Fury wasn't even given a chance to survive the fight should at least allow him something of a pass, no ?

Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins and Wladimir Klitschko himself all made a habit of boring wins, and no one would argue that they forfeited their rights to be called champions because of that.

I guess Joshua's most fanatical supporters - and especially the ones who are also Fury haters - are going to try their hardest to find ways to discredit Fury and boost Joshua, but it's not gonna cut any ice with anyone who knows the ins and outs of heavyweight boxing.
Not until Joshua steps up and beats a significant opponent.

And that is true EVEN IF FURY LOSES TO WLAD. :deal
And, if that happens, we'll see how eager Hearn is to put AJ in with "the 40-year-old man", or whether they will even have the b*alls to fight a defeated Fury or the winner of Wilder-Povetkin.
    Don't hold your breath.

Fury's two wins over chisora are better than anything Joshua has faced, let alone the Vlad victory. Especially the first fight when chisora was unbeaten.

Difference is, Fury is the HW champion, while Joshua is merely a beltholder that beat a paper IBF champ.
Who actually believes Martin has much of a chance against the likes of Fury, Wlad, Povetkin, Pulev, Wilder, Takam, Ruiz and friends?
    And Breeze?

It's like saying Gillingham FC are as legit as the Germany national side because I've seen them in a couples of exciting matches since Germany's dull world cup final win.

It don't work like that, bro.

Joshua is being set up for a big fall.

He might end up getting 'Prescotted'.
