    There are times when "beating the man" isn't enough. The Donaire-Vetyeka mess is an example. Even Byron Rojas-Hekkie Budler was a clear, justified unanimous decision but the No. 1, IMO, should be CP Freshmart.

    But what Jezreel Corrales did to Uchiyama was something totally different, he completely stamped him out in two rounds. He's No. 1 for now. And remains so unless Vargas beats Salido but not the other way around.

    Not the other way around? I think you're maybe selling him a bit short there. Siri ought to be 3-0 in his current stint at 130, with victories over Jandaeng and Martínez x2. Before that he was coming off the big victory at feather over Lomachenko and before that his demolition of Cruz. Very strong three year run, with derailing Vargas would capstone very nicely. I think his case would be solid for #1. (assuming you acknowledge Martínez getting two gifts over him)

    Ah, but what if the Bandido vs. Siri winner fights Pedraza? Wouldn't the winner of that have roughly as much stacked mojo as your guy as proposed above? :think

    They should have a mini-tournament. Winner of Vargas-Siri fights the winner of Lomachenko-Martinez, then the winner of that fights Pedraza.

    If Salido beats Vargas, I'd be interested to see how a more experienced Lomachenko does against him.

    I think Fortuna-Corrales would be interesting. Two guys with fast hands.

    Yeah, Salido beat Martinez in both fights IMO, and obviously Lomachenko has the loss to Salido.

    If Vargas beats Salido, and Loma beats Vargas, I'd kind of see it as avenging the Salido loss because of the rugged style of Vargas.

    You think Salido beat Martinez in the 1st fight? I thought Martinez with the knockdowns and the point off Salido had, won that by a comfortable margin.
