Alvarez is a good counterpuncher who weighs over 170 in the ring. Khan is open to counters and was ktfo at 130 and 140. Khan is going to sleep.

So just because Khan's fast? Is that all you've got? How about the fact that his defense always inevitably spreads its legs wide open when he's being pursued, and that guys half Canelo's size have hurt him? Or that Canelo is a world class fighter in his prime with a great résumé whose only loss is to Mayweather? :think

    Well, not really...

I get that he's a world class boxer with fast hands and everything but I think you might have an exaggerated view of the whole romanticized "a flyweight pro would KTFO an untrained guy 100lbs bigger" concept. Like, maybe Pong or Finito could indeed spark a random fat schlub who never trained a day in his life, but...

Sure Khan has a chance, but it's a very small one imo. He has to fight a perfect fight. I gotta' think that Canelo, who is very good counterpuncher and not slow, will catch Khan at some point and not let him off the hook.

Khan is fast. But beyond his speed his defense is trash and his offense is often sloppy(with little power at Welterweight, much less Canelo-weight). And for all that speed, he's been caught by far lesser fighters than Canelo on a regular basis. Once he gets caught by Canelo the fight is over. The conservative call is that Khan's speed troubles Canelo for a few rounds, but he gets caught sometime in the middle rounds and gets stopped.
