If Fury retires after winning rematch, where does he rank?

That might be a stretch as well.....maybe top 40.

You can't win a single defense, even vs an ATG and get up there like that.

I mean....had Moorer beat Foreman, he'd have beaten 2 consensus top 15s and arguably top 10s, even a top 5 in Foreman.

I know....IF.....but thats how your post starts. So I went there.

That said....he was schooling Big George who got lucky really.

And of course, both Foreman and Moorer went on to win great fights vs other top HW talents.

Fury has a handful of contenders, and Wlad.

That wont crack the top 20, particularly a 40 y/o Wlad X 2. :think

 

He's getting knocked spark out in the rematch.

 

He'd be an enigma. A guy who beat one great fighter and then retired before having to face any of the young challengers coming through. I don't think anyone in their right mind would realistically be able to say that makes him an ATG.

just beating an over the hill ATG twice in order, probably with another stinker if it happens and not doing much else, obviously doesn't put you in ATG contention yourself.

Because Wlad certainly isn't.

 

If Fury beats Wlad again, followed by Joshua and Wilder then I think yes, we can have a conversation about where he stands in the ATG list. But not before.

He'll be about where Bowe is after he beats Wlad again.

 

He won't retire.he is just messing about .this gets publicly for the fight and gets on vlads wick .

 

He would rank where the individual choses to rank him if at all.
