If Floyd faces Golovkin @ MW, I'll be a Pimp C and MVC level fan again like I once was.
If Floyd faces Golovkin @ 154lbs, I'll be a big fan of Floyd again, not Pimp C or MVC level, but a big fan.

    Really?

They both beat a similar level of opposition...

The idea that Mayweather has to fight the #1 middleweight in the world to achieve greatness is ridiculous. Mayweather is not and was never a middleweight.

A 40 year old man moving up two weight classes to face the #1 MW would be regarded as a joke and a mockery in usual circumstances but with Floyd people actually entertain the idea. It's ridiculous.

As for the idea that GGG can come down to 155lbs. Why is this deemed acceptable to fight Floyd yet people don't want to see GGG drop to 155lbs to fight Canelo?

Lalonde was never considered a p4p type fighter.

I think GGG is well above Lalonde. Lalonde had already lost twice before the Leonard fight.
Bringing down Lalonde from lightheavyweight to fight at Supermiddleweight is nowhere near the accomplishment beating GGG at 154 lbs would be.

Floyd has surpassed them both, imo. And in the opinions of many aficionados.

Wrong first Leonard is a bigger guy than Floyd more easy for him to make 160 Floyd is small welter who could make 140 very stupid a 39 years old fighting a good middle weight.

First.. Look at the source. Big Dan is a known O$scar Shill. So calling out Mayweather like this does a few things:

Throws shade on Mayweather. That he's not an all time great.

It also takes attention away from the demand for Canelo to fight GGG.

If big Dan can shame Floyd out of retirement to fight GGG, then it buys Oscar more time to milk his cash cow.

If Bumlovkin fought back in Lelonde's era, he wouldn't be considered a P4P calibre fighter either...

The guy is too small for 160. It's not about daring to be great when you've already moved up and been champion in 5 weight classes. At a point the purpose of weight classes becomes quite clear. This is one of those scenarios.

Fat Dan should dare to be thin...

Mayweather doesn't need GGG. No way. I don't like the fight. Floyd has no power at welterweight, how is he going to last 12 against a middleweight destroyer?

    No thanks.

Dare to be great by going up to middleweight? Come on, man. I know it's popular to hate on Floyd but he's already a great. He doesn't have to do anything else to prove that. I'm a bigger GGG fan than a Mayweather fan and I would not like to see them fight.

GGG still dispatches Floyd quite easily you know it I know it and Floyd knows it. You can spin Floyds **** resume without one atg prime fighter on there all you want. Not to mention his gift decisions catchweights and iv bags. He's actually very ordinary all things considered. He almost lost to Marcos maidana of all people!

Not a big fan of Mayweather but the idea that he should fight GGG is ridiculous. Mayweather is a 40 year old man who started his career at 130.

It's GGG that should dare to be great. He certainly isn't going to do it by crushing non-descript opposition his entire career.
