Pulev : Even I thought he had a shot at Klitschko, but he failed big time. Broner : Had a golden future, but made a mistake by bulking up, because he wanted to fight at WW Arreolla : From condender to a glorified journeyman Bute : Got badly exposed by Froch
Danny Garcia, JCC Jr., Mickey Bey, Adonis Stevenson, Lucian Bute, Austin Trout, Jean Pascal, Jessie Vargas
Bute had nine title defenses. He destroied all of them with ease except for Andrade number 1. Then he went where Ward himself wouldn't go. He got caught early in the fight and could not come back from it. He didn't recover. Lost his confidence after (he was never the same) and there you go. He is the most overrated boxer even though at 36 he is giving those younger champions draws and close decisions.
Taking into account the hype that went into them, probably Broner or Matthyse. Cotto is another consideration, he's exciting but not counting crippled fighters, who is his last great win?
Vitali. His chin and durability are overrated beyond belief. Then Wladimir Klitch. you have fools calling him a top 3 ATG. aLL THE OTHER GUYS DON'T HAVE SILLY FANBOIS claiming the same. Thats why he's most overrated.
What???? He had a bad night followed by a mental break. Whether or not he had the greatest title run, names wise, he still made 13 world title fights and is 10-3 in them vs some of the top operators from the past 10 yrs, yes his best win might be Bika, but his performances recently vs Jack, DeGale and the small comeback vs Pascal were all reminders of what he once was prior to his mental breakdown PRIOR to entering the ring in Nottingham. As for your ?????? I'll go with Marcos Maidana. His best title win is likely the 5-4 volume punching Peter Petrov. Solid win but not near the level of Bika or even old Glen Johnson coming off a close fight with an ATG Froch. Madaina earned his MONEY fights by beating a distracted Broner, who would likely smoke him at this stage. He couldnt crack the eggshell chins of Khan or Alexander, and was made to look extremely ordinary in his fights with JSK and 40 year old Morales, whom Garcia showed how it's done. Sure, Madaina let it all go vs Floyd and he was very impressive in the first 4 rds of their first fight, but then Floyd did what HE DOES and took control, and even gave Madaina another shot immediately to prove his first W was no fluke. :-(
Good points....he's beaten nobody great except Lara, in a fight that most consider nothing better than a draw for him. He was dominated bell to bell by Mayweather, looked good vs Cotto, but had 20 lbs on him. Was nearly KTFO1 by Kirkland who had been out the ring for 18 months and given 10 wks to drop 50 f/n pounds. Canelo could have literally just run from JK for 4 rds and let him fall out from exhaustion. atsch Outside of his wins over Cotto and Trout(seems done IMO), and his draw vs Lara, his domination by MONEY, his resume reeks of old names turned journeymen and journeyman.atsch
Good shouts. Berto is nothing special but I once thought he was the second coming. JR seemed to have it all coming up from 135 into his adult frame then let daddy's name and fame get to his own head. Provo.....robbed vs Algeri, but look what Spence just did. Look how Pac handled him......Great chin, will, and power, but very limited, especially if Mathysee can look like Mayweather vs him for 10 rds.
