Briggs is to fight Dimitrenko on the Haye undercard. I'm a massive Haye fan but I feel Briggs has the harder opponent here!! I'm sure Dimitrenko sparred Haye years back so has Haye pulled in a favour by getting him to beat Briggs and get him out the way so he can chase AJ down. Not that Haye won't beat Briggs but it's 6 months of Father Time Haye could rather keep hold of!!

Haye isnt oblige to fight Briggs anyhow, if he can get a bigger fight then it doesnt matter whether briggs wins the next fight.

I think he is obliged to fight Briggs, given that contracts are signed.

Good match up this- if Briggs wins he deserves a shot at Haye.

I agree Briggs deserves nothing but all I'm saying is his opponent is of higher quality than Hayes. I was hoping for a top 10 ranked opponent to send a statement of intent to the champions but this will be another mis match. I still believe Haye to be in the top 3 HW's in the world. Only Wlad and Fury beat him in my opinion

Top 10 fighter after 4 years off? Lol you want another Hatton situation, Haye should have had 3/4 fights in quick succession before fight a top 15 name around this time imo

Dimitrenko is a tougher fight than Gjergjaj.

Haye will blow his opponent away inside 2 or 3.

I was thinking the exact same. Although no world beater, Dimitrenko is a big heavyweight and providing he comes through the first few rounds unscathed I can see him winning the fight on points or late stoppage. Also, when was the last time Briggs fought someone as good as Dimitrenko?
