Social Media has really turned on AJ vs Brezeale!

It seems in this day and age people actually aren't quite the drones/zombies that promoters think.

Everyone can google an opponent in a second now on their phone ... And from what I've seen on Facebook & Twitter (let alone hardcore boxing forums like this) almost nobody is buying this as a decent fight or a World Title fight.

This seems a tough, tough PPV sell with Fury fighting Klitschko the following week.

It's really been savaged/shamed online today & Joshua trying to fabricate beef and then later saying "a bit of rivalry sells, so hopefully this now will" on SSN smacks of desperation/ over-estimation of how gullible casuals are.

    Agree or disagree?

This will do 200k ppv minimum.

I don't know, with Whyte there was at least the rivalry despite not one significant win as a professional heavyweight.

With Martin there was the belt and a padded record /the Unknown ... Despite no significant genuine wins as a heavyweight.

But Brezeale's last 2 fights have been on PBC and are there for all to see ... And he 'lost' to a guy Tyson Furys 21 year old cousin beat on the weekend without taking a shot, and went life and death with a 43 year old Mansour having got dropped before Mansour quit with a tongue injury!

Brezeale brings nothing PPV worthy and it seems most people are pointing this out.

If it does half of the Charles Martin fight in PPV numbers, I'd be shocked ...

    Not sure tbh.

As much as I agree Joshua v Breazeale is a mismatch and a potential 1-2 round blow out, the O2 sold out very quickly again with tickets already changing hands on the second hand market at inflated prices. I know Hearn can talk some b******s but Matchroom & Sky have built Joshua into such a big star it will probably do good PPV numbers, especially with a strong Hearn style undercard.

Not meaning to undermine you or make you look silly SuperPunchout ... But there are 1000s and 1000s of unsold tickets to this event on AJ & Matchrooms sponsorship partner, Stub Hubs site.

    http://www.stubhub.co.uk/matchroom-...-the-o2-arena-25-6-2016/event/9570330/?mbox=1

Nobody is actually buying tickets for this yet.

It even clashes with an England Euro 2016 game. As I said this will be a tough sell.

I bought 6 tickets for the Whyte fight, 4 for the Martin fight.

Am not interested in this at all.

If you go onto Stubhub and start the selling process you can see the sold ticket price for any event in a 'help me price guide' and not just the sale price. Yes surprisingly or not surprisingly (depending how you look at it) tickets are changing hands on Stubhub for this event. I'm not selling any AJ tickets by the way but have sold tickets on Stubhub in the past.

    well it is really.

As for this thread. I think it's a make or break year for match room and therefore british boxing. people are learning and are getting fed up with the constant poor fights

Just watching the breazeale v kassi fight. Wheres eddie finding these opponents and who are they beating. Guy looks painfully slow. Probably not even as good as martin. Literally has no chance in this fight.

Eddie needs to give the ppv for joshua a break till hes fighting someone that brings something to the table.

Shannon briggs would have been more dangerous than this guy. Looks like an amateur. At least briggs was at one point good.

I'll be surprised if it does. This is an awful fight, it's a mismatch and the card won't be that great either.

I don't blame EH for being cautious with opponents for AJ but don't try and pull the wool over people's eyes by suggesting this is a real test for AJ and more importantly don't make it PPV.

One thing I learned is that a lot of people will buy it anyway.
Breazale is an easy target for Joshua, certainly if you take one look at the circumstances of his last 2 "wins", but many will turn in just to see their man win.

Joshua could fight my nan and it would do huge numbers on PPV. Simple.

Once that Sky hype machine gets in full flow come fight week plenty will be buying it.
