Because Oscar called the shots then so in order to get to where he's at today he had to do cooperate for Oscars demands

they've already embraced him as the best of his generation...fat dan already rated him the top p4p fighter of the last 25 years....and others have also acknowledged him as that.....and it will continue

The difference between Canelo and floyd is that floyd was never a Jr middleweight boxed guys at the weight because they are the ones that want him. When he wanted Oscar he went up to Oscars weight to get him. Canelo is a middleweight champion but wants a catchweight for the middleweight title. If he don't want to face a middleweight he should just get back down

 

I forgot what fight it was, but it was back in 2011 (all you have to do is google it,) where Canelo said post-fight he was ready for a match with Mayweather and he would be willing to go down to 150 lbs to secure the fight.

Floyd ended up calling him on the CW but placed it at 152 lbs instead of 150 lbs.

I don't like CW's at all but this one isn't that horrific considering the fight right before Mayweather, Alvarez weighed in at 153 lbs (against Trout.)

You obviously didn't watch him before he became a PPV star. He took the long, arduous route just to get to a fight with DLH to allow him to be in a position to call the shots. He was one of the biggest risk/lowest reward fighters for about 8 years.

 

Because he's a *****. He believes what he thinks is fact.

Alvarez (39-0-1, 29 KO) had no trouble with Cintron on Saturday, but then Cintron hasn't been any good in quite a while, and in the end the fight amounted to what I suspected: Another hand-picked, riskless fight, but this time against a guy who had a good KO percentage.

 

No, you're just in denial about the whole ordeal.

Canelo probably shouldn't have planted the seed in Mayweather's head about a catchweight.

You can try to spin it any way you want, but Alvarez and his team were the first one's to propose the CW. Just because Mayweather went ahead with it doesn't make him the villain in this situation.

It would be the same thing as if FLoyd fought Gennady at 154 lbs. Gennady is the one who has been adamantly proposing it for years, so if Floyd decided to fight him at 154 lbs than no one should criticize him for taking on someone at a requested CW.
