Huge Difference Between Canelo-Golovkin @ 155 and Mayweather-Golovkin @ 154...

Golovkin may be slightly drained at 155/154, but the difference is that Canelo will be 175-180 and Floyd will be 150-160. So please, people, stop saying that Golovkin should fight Canelo at 155 because he's willing to fight Floyd at 154.

Great post! Would also like to add the Canelo isn't Floyd as far as monetary gain is concerned. Who wouldn't want to fight Floyd for a payday?

And true... but more than money, Floyd also represents an opportunity to take an ATG's 0 (legacy).

So let me get this straight ....floyd could come in less than 154 but also maybe 160.....so what's ggg gonna come in at?

Is ggg not allowed to rehydrate in either instance?

What ur saying actually makes ggg look more like an attempted cherry picker if u ask me

    Why are you confused?

Canelo would be 175-180 on fight night if they meet at 155. Floyd would be 150-160 on fight night if they meet at 154. In both cases, Golovkin would likely be slightly drained. Better to fight a guy who's 150-160 than a guy who's 175-180 when you're compromised.

The weight difference is 1 pound in the contract, but the range is possibly 25 pounds if it's Canelo.
