Hosea Burton is a 6'4 27 year old Light Heavyweight with a 15-0 6 KO's record. Born in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom and fighting out of Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Hosea whose name comes from a biblical Hebrew prophet from Israel meaning salvation some thought him the prophet of doom, is a cousin of The Furious One himself Tyson Fury, and clearly skills run in the family. He was on the verge of giving up boxing after a rough year in the ABA until he was talked out of it by Lightweight Anthony Crolla, which is a very good thing, because I think he has what it takes to be a force at Light Heavyweight at least in the UK and depending on how good his chin is, maybe even the world stage. He has a decent jab, good looping overhand right and uppercut, good timing, decent footwork and his power has been improving in recent outings, although the majority of his matches previously were 4 rounders. He needs to improve in a few departments, he can be a little sloppy, he needs better defense and his jab could use some sharpening up but overall not bad. He actually reminds me of Tyson when he was a little sloppier and more entertaining and he's not as ugly. I don't think 6' 4" is very tall in general. Even I have never been the tallest guy ever in my class when I was younger, or at any of my jobs until the one I have now (I'm 6' 4½"). There were guys that had half a head or more on me. But it's still tall for a light heavyweight. Boxing is just full of midgets, that's all
Maybe 6'4 isn't tall for the Dutch Robney, or Russians or Swedes or some Germans or Africans or Norwegians, but that's humongous for almost everybody else.:yep
There was a smaller Fury, who was a LWW. Not sure if he was a cousin or brother of Tyson. Edit: Phill Fury...he was a LMW/MW. Hasn't fought in about 4 years
Even though I have a lot of Irish in me, I haven't found any gypsy in my bloodline, but if I did I'd probably related to Fury too.atsch
I think "he has what it takes to be a force at Light Heavyweight" is stretching it a bit... By about the length of Texas actually...
