I'm curious because most people have it mid to late round knockout for Canelo, but I'd be shocked if Khan's chin holds up that long. He'll be getting hit - and hard - much sooner than that. I was thinking more along 4 or 5, at the most 6.

Canelo will carry him until 7 to make it looks legit

Itll last until Canelo connects with that chin.

Hmmm... that could definitely be possible. Then again, I don't think Canelo should want look anywhere near competitive with Khan or else it's going to damage his credibility on how well he'll fare with real middleweights.

No idea but I have a feeling it will go to 12 or at least late. Wouldn't be surprised at an early Garcia-type KO though.

Kahn is skilled enough and fast enough to make the fight interesting. My guess is it goes past the half-way mark. And if Canelo does not press the issue like he failed to do vs Cotto, it might go to a decision.

Well, Prescott and Garcia got khan our of there in 1 and 4 rounds respectively, and they were smaller men. Much bigger Alvarez shouldn't take longer than 3 rounds.

Canelo usually takes a couple of rounds to feel the tempo and make adjustments. This fight should end in 6 rounds imo.

I researched this for 2 hours, didn't notice this, and made the exact same thread. Dammit.

I call round 3. No reason Khan should last longer against Alvarez than against Garcia. I don't think he has the speed now that he did at 140, and Alvarez will make the decision to swing with him pretty early. Alvarez has seen guys like Trout, Lara, and Mayweather, so Khan won't be a unique experience. I think Cotto was faster and overall better than Khan will be, and Alvarez started trying to punch with him in round 3. I think he makes the decision earlier against Khan, and it's going to work pretty fast.

    Edit:
Khan has been down 9 times. All in rounds 1-6.

Liam Smith destroyed him sparring leading Hunter to end it early - if Liam smith can do that I don't see Khan lasting very long with Canelo

Paquiao was much smaller than Canelo but look what he did to Cotto. Size comparisons are silly in this case.

you have to take in mind that even with the best professionals in the world, dehydration saps your energy.
