Why come Pac and Margo stopped Cotto but Canelo couldn't?

As others have indicated, both Pacquiao and Margarito fought Cotto at a much faster pace. While he has skills as a combination puncher against more limited fighters, it's been shown that every time Canelo faces a guy with credible boxing ability, his combination punching and volume goes out the window. You only need to look at the Gomez, Trout, Floyd, Lara, and Cotto fights for the evidence. He becomes a "somewhat" aggressive single-shot counterpuncher guy because he's confused about handling the technique problems, movement, and angles a good boxer presents to him. Conversely, he absolutely obliterates brawlers(Cintron, Angulo, Kirkland) and becomes a combination punching machine in those fights because the fighters are right in front of him and his technique is usually a lot better than theirs so he has ton of openings to counterpunch them in combination.

Cotto tried to overpower Pacman and Margo, he's never done well against fighters stronger or faster than him. That's why he chose to make it a tactical fight against Canelo, and it turned out to be a good one from both fighters. 2nd half of the fight, Canelo controlled the fight, there was a reason why Cotto was moving backwards instead of forward and not putting pressure like he likes too. He stunned Cotto late in the fight too.

Margarito’s hands were wrapped in his dressing room prior to the Mosley fight by his longtime trainer, Javier Capetillo. The task began under the supervision of inspector Che Guevara with Naazim Richardson (Mosley’s trainer) looking on.

CSAC inspector David Pereda, who was in the room testified, “Naazim opened the gauze and pulled something out of it. He showed us what appeared to be an old gauze which had been used before and hardened from perhaps being sweaty and wet many times.”

Inspector Guevara testified, “It [the knuckle pad] was a clean new bandage. But within it, in the inner layers of it, was another bandage wrap. It was not as white as a new bandage wrap would be. It was used and it looked almost like it was sweat soaked and that’s what caused it to have the discoloration. It was harder in certain areas than it should be for pure gauze. It was definitely firm and hard. I believe there was a little bit of, it looked like old blood, on it.”

Q: Is this the kind of pad you usually use in a championship fight?

    Capetillo: No, sir.

Q: Have you ever used a pad like that in a professional boxing fight?

    Capetillo: No, sir.

Q: So is it your testimony that, when you wrapped Mr. Margarito’s hands, you reached into your training bag and grabbed the wrong pad?

Capetillo: That is correct . . . I put my hand in my bag to pull out, they are like little pads. And by mistake, that I had those in my bag, I put them on and I wrapped them on without realizing that it had been a big mistake.

On March 19, 2009, the Bureau of Forensic Services forwarded a report to the CSAC that read, “Calcium and sulpher, two elements found in plaster of Paris, were found on the submitted gauze pad using an X-ray fluorescence [XRF] spectrometer. The elements calcium, sulpher, and oxygen are found in plaster of Paris.

You've actually made a case that the knucklepad in Margarito's wrap wasn't hardened like Plaster.
You've made the case that the knucklepads were used, hardened from
    previous use of them.
Cloth or any type of guaze type material will become stiff like if soaked in sweat and then allowed to dry.
That same material will soften again if they once again become wet with any substance which includes sweat.

If you use common sense, those knucklepads likely had been used in the gym, maybe during sparring or even more likely inserted in their to protect the hands when hitting the heavybag.

I couldn't really tell you if that particular knucklepad was crafted to protect the hands or not as I have never felt it, but I am sure it was not hard like plaster.
Shane Mosley himself testified the day after they were discovered that he had felt them and they felt normal to him, so I know for sure they were not plaster hard.
......and them already been used would signify they were allready as hard as they were going to get.......
......which others who felt them went on to testify, "it was not hard, but stiffer than a normal knucklepad."

Its apparent to me the knucklepads were not hard therefore not plaster.
They just weren't soft like an unused knucklepad.
They had become firm from repeated use inside the gloves on a sweaty hand inside a boxing glove.

Lets now state the TRUTH!!!!!!! what happened!!

Capetillo wrapped Margarito's hands while Richardson & the Insp watched. The Insp passed & signed off on the wraps. THEN Richardson demanded they be removed as they "felt hard "
Margarito complied to the request. Then Richardson claimed
PLASTER BLOCKS " fell out of Margy's wraps . What ever happened to those "BLOCKS"?? All the CSAC had was a gauze pad which was damp & had a brown stain on it. A used pad yes Attempted glove loading NO!!!!
Yes indeed TRACE ELEMENTS!! of both sulpher & calcium were found on the pad. You omitted the "TRACE ELEMENTS " part
Both , in very much larger quantities are indeed ingredients of plaster, but you omitted to state, that they are also ingredients of HUMAN SWEAT!!! not to mention hand crème too
All Antonio did was SWEAT!!!!!! A blatant liar did the rest
Add to this When Antonio applied for his licence to be reinstated
unsuccessfully his rep asked if they could inspect the so called loaded wrao as they had never seen them. A embarrassed CSAC rep stuttered " Err Err You cannot we do not have them any more they got MISLAID!!! " How convenient huh ????
An accidently used HARMLESS used gauze pad is hardly loading gloves. They never had a case
If youre going to present " facts" make sure they are facts & not fiction OK
