Khan won the event.

  1. He was schooling Canelo until that lucky shot, he was in cruise control and thinking about his tactics for Golovkin and got caught daydreaming.

Khan won the event? All I saw was a guy with the advantage in speed, foot movement and technique be walked down, have multiple shots landed to the body and finally be smashed to the face.

The outcome of this fight was very predictable.

it wasn't lucky- it was set up. nothing in boxing is lucky. he meant to hit him- he hit him - he s trained 25 years to throw that shot- how is that luck.
Canelo was just patient and measured. he knew eventually he d catch the skinny little indian and knock him out.

    Lucky shot lol.

Khan tends to always start quickly and then opponents get closer and time him.

    It's groundhog day

    Great shot from Alvarez,
Khan was probably 4-1 up but I think Alvarez had worked out that Khan couldn't hurt him and started closing the distance in the knowledge that he could take one to land one.

Khan failed to land anything to make Alvarez stay wary of his power and as such the fate of Khan was set.

Good fight while it lasted but, as much as I love watching him, I think Khans days as a top contender are over.
