Yeah it's sad people are gloating but what do you expect from this cesspit of a boxing forum. The vast majority here cannot fight, are fat and out of shape and what's ultra sad is that Khan just made in the region of £9m (reportedly) from that fight whilst his haters have stayed up till 5am to stream his fight. But you have to be realistic. He's made so much money, amateur success and world titles. What's the point in continuing when he's been brutally KO'd several times now? He could end up seriously hurt.
so a blown up 147 pounder gets ko'd by a guy probably weighing in at 180lbs and he has a glass chin and should retire? ok. i wonder if your buddy kell brook took that shot where he would end up. instead of giving khan credit for taking such a fight people rather just give him **** on the other hand support fighters like kell brook who has 1 proper win on his resume and hasn't fought a living soul since.
Brook hits harder than Alvarez according to Magic Matthew Hatton. I'd expect Brook to lay him out in similar fashion mid rounds.
Yes move down to his natural weight, because we all know that Prescott and Garcia were both fluke losses. And he rematched neither of them
You keep bringing up Brook like I'm some sort of fan of him, I just happen to think he's much better than Glass Jaw Khan which he clearly is. I hadn't even mentioned Brook here, but you've brought him up again. No idea why. And from what I can see you list a bunch of excuses again, excuse, excuse, excuse. Funny
Its guaranteed that Khan is laid flat out by Brook now. That punanni has been beaten in so badly, its only going to take a glancing shot to smash it to pieces again. Even the wind from Brooks hook is going to knock Khan out, let alone a flush connection
Retirement. Dude is finished and after 4 to 5 rounds his punches become less effective and his speed wears down. He is a sitting target for Brook who has the power to KO amir. He's made more money than a lot of boxers and should retire with his health intact, these mounting KOs can have a long term effect on the brain. He was won two world titles and should be content with what he achieved.
Completely agree, some of the bile on here is cringe material spouted by fat fairies. I think the reason he carries on is because he knows he'll still be competitive at welterweight and make some massive fights that he'll earn a few more million from. I think it's that simple. People can call him an embarrassment or a joke, but they are the people who will, without fail tune in to watch to see if he gets beat every time making the fight even more talked about and important.
Who said they were fluke losses? He got banged out sure, but he also beat a hell of a lot of good welter weights and has had some extremely good performances. He'll continue simply because he will more than likely make a load of money and win another title. He'll doubtlessly get sparked again in time, but that tends to happen in boxing to fighters like him. It's no big deal.
:thumbsup Whilst I am not Amir's biggest fan, he was on (literally) a hiding to nothing by fighting Canelo. Not many current WWs will be looking to fight Alvarez. The issue with Amir is, he will probably suffer the same fate against any of the top 147lb guys. He is brave,l talented and exciting. There is no doubt about that. But his lack of genuine ko power at WW, coupled with his less than stellar punch resistance do make him seem to be a highlight reel ko waiting to happen. He should fight Brook next. Huge payday and if he loses that fight, maybe thinking about retiring. He has made millions and should be able to enjoy a long, fruitful retirement.
I dont agree his chin is china but I think Khan should call it a day. I remember thinking the same after Hatton's bad KO and people were going on about it being no big deal. But that kind of KO isnt good to see and he has been out a few times now. Its at the point now where beating Khan is no great achievement, if Brook does it he will just be seen as someone finishing off damaged goods. I guess there is a chance Khan could beat Brook, so thats the question. Personally I dont think its worth the risk, to a rich young man with a family. He didnt reach greatness but had an exciting career so has a lot to be proud of, but as always its not enough, he will probably want to chase that greatness but its unlikely he will get there. edit - I guess it pretty much went the worse case scenario tonight. if Khan made the 12 rounds or at least the KO wasn't so bad you would think he has a few more fights in him but unfortunately he lost in the worse way, out cold. does his family want to see him unconscious on the canvas like that again? I got a feeling the people close to him will play a part in where his career goes
The usual Khan fan boys are out in force, your boy got his head taken off last night, he goes on about legendary status, he could do that in a country he calls his own by fighting Brook in a stadium fight. He won't though because being splattered in a weight division his fans can hide behind is a lot easier than being bashed up by Kell at 147
His family only care about the $. Did you see his pimped up daddy beside him in the interview? You think Harroon is concerned about his brother's brains, when'stravelling in private jets and having nights out with the boys? As long as khan can breath, they are happy to see him put in the ring with anyone that makes the most dollars.
