Well, good thing this issue didn't ultimately matter.

 

I had it 48-47 for kahn. so, not big deal. Khan actually did nothing, the only rounds he won were the rounds where canelo did less than nothing. Beautiful ko is beautiful.

 

so if canelo is competitive against ggg he will win?

I would like to know the names of the judges that scored so terribly. The first I'd ever heard of C.J. Ross was when she fumbled the Pac/Bradley fight. When she did the same right afterwards with the Mayweather/Canelo bout it was the last nail in her coffin and she had to retire as a judge. But before that, she had officiated at hundreds of fights. Anybody who's anybody in the sport had been judged by her.

I wonder what would happen if people started going through judges records and the really terrible ones were exposed. There ought to be a ranking system for the judges so that Nevada's State Athletic Commission doesn't just recycle everyone forever and give the plum jobs to their friends.

 

Seriously? Comfortably 4-1 to Khan after the fifth for me. After the fourth, Canelo began showing better head movement and was throwing in the odd double jab to usher Khan into an error and began landing better shots because of it. Writing on the wall after that.
Virgil shoulda been in Khan's ear after the fourth telling him to get on his bike more, to take the fifth off. On the back foot, throwing the higher volume of punches he was always going to tire quicker and have the first dip which you can't have in such a tactical fight. Had he took the fifth off and gone into the sixth refreshed and sharp enough to win it like he did the first four then doubts and frustration would start eating away at Canelo.
Not that it matters though, even if Khan was disciplined enough to take it the distance, Canelo probably would've got an SD with those judges.
Kind of disappointed by how easy the KO looked to be honest. Crouched position, feint jab to the body, right elbow receding before the jab even made it halfway to Khan... For all his talk of speed, Khan should have seen the overhand right coming a mile away.

You're right. Canelo was in control early on by loading up and missing badly. With a combo, you don't expect to land them all, some shots are thrown to position the opponent so you do land.

 

Khan won the first 4, Canelo was showing shades of success in the 4th though. Slightly took over in the 5th. So I had it 4-1 Khan.
Judges already have shown their bias in Canelo fights. Teddy Atlas is absolutely right this time. 49-46 score is just ... no comment

 

Khan was definitely 4-1 ahead, BUT Canelo was starting to come into the fight even though he was losing rounds. He found rhythm and timing as the fight wore on, like Danny Garcia did.

Amir Khan always makes mistakes, did you see what Khan did just before the KO? Makes no sense. It's like it's deeply wired in Khan to get KTFO or something.

 

Why tell anything to Pimp C? I've given up. He genuinely knows nothing about boxing. But what can you expect from someone with a Mayweather tattoo? He has a rare mental disorder.

 

Canelo was up 3-2 on my card, Khan was in full retreat mode (on his bike like he always did when he was in trouble) from 4th round on, and I think he lost 1st as well (most of the punches in his flurry didn't land anyway).
