Not for me anymore, he's regressed since the layoff. He looked very basic, stiff and ponderous against Chisora. If Chisora had some gas left in the tank and the ref stopped Pulev from laying on and wrestling Chisora for 3/4 of rounds, it would have been a different fight. Based off last's night performance Joshua would destroy him inside a couple rounds.
I don`t think it`s the right time for Joshua to fight an experienced boxer like Pulev. In two years maybe but now ... hmmm. And if Pulev`s next fight would be in Sofia, as Sauerland promised, it would be a nightmare for both Takam or Parker. 15 000 sick minded f.cks roaring to death ...
Yes, and he stands a great chance against Joshua and Wilder. Part of me wished he showed a bit more killer instinct to put the seal on a dominant performance.
Pulev is good against mid-level opposition. I don't know how he'd handle guys like AJ. Wilder I'd give him a better chance against than vs. AJ.
And he missed 1000 other opportunities to throw them. Also he kept throwing only the right uppercut, that of course barely landed due to the angulation, and why is that? Because he can't use both hands. Left is jab only for him. He can't even bend it in a left hook, that would have had a field day last night. but no, only the right arm is for power stuff. Like a total novice. Those are the things you do when you're an amateur, and a crude one.
Joshua would cream him inside two rounds, wilder would take him out as well...He looked good against Chisora, but those Guys are a Whole different ballgame.:good
Pick a poor fight of any so called top 10 heavy and we can use your above words for them, too. He has beaten Chisora,Dimitrenko(when he was still a decent heavy, not the present shot version who is scheduled to fight Briggs),Ustinov,Walker, and quite a few other recognisable names. Yes,he is a top 10 fighter, and yes,he has a good coach in his corner. Didnt you see who was in his corner???? One of the best living pro coaches in the business. I wont bet a single coin on him against Joshua or Fury but he has a decent chance to beat quite a few of the other top dogs. Pulev vs Wilder could really go either way.I for one even tend to favour the Bulgarian slightly over that American hype job.
I'd say Joshua will probably have another voluntary before fighting the winner of Parker vs Takam - unless you are saying Joshua is going to take a voluntary against Pulev? That'd be pretty ambitious as an early voluntary.
I was wondering that myself. Fury Wlad Povetkin Wilder Ortiz Joshua Can't think of anyone else to put ahead of him.
