Marquez got away from the beating he was into and got a lucky shot into a careless Pac that was going for KO in the last seconds, did not even see it coming

Here, Alvarez feinted and fooled Khan, was a clear shot that had to go through Khan's defense

So, Marquez pure luck, this one pure skill

 

Personally I think Canelo-Khan was more visually brutal, the slow-mo replay just made me cringe at the power of the shot.

Marquez-Pacquaio was more dramatic though, because it was unexpected and Pacquaio was winning before it. Also, Pacquaio is an ATG and Khan is not.

 

Marquez's knockout was the most brutal KO I have ever seen. He looked like Shang Tsung removing the life from someones body that night, I genuinely feared Pacquiao died.

Khan just got flattened by a top fighter who weighs 177lbs on fight night.

In fact both knockouts were set up by the brutal body shots of both Marquez and Canelo.
Both Marquez and Canelo found a home with the right hand to the body. Marquez was digging a straight shot down Pacquiao's gut the whole fight.
Canelo found a home with the right hook to Khan's side thrown from mid to long distance.

Those body shots slowed down the respective fighters and diminished their ability to reflexively react.

I just posted round 6 in this thread of Marquez putting Pacquiao to sleep. Watch Pacquiao dragging his punches well before the knockout occur. Pacquiao was physically starting to labor in it played huge when he tried to feint Marquez with his weak double jab.

The same with Khan. I had noticed in round 5 Canelo was closing distance and Khan wasn't getting out of the way nearly as fast as he had been rounds 1 thru 4.
At the close or round 5, I knew it was just a matter of time before Khan's fatigue was going to get him in a position where Canelo was going to land a huge shot like he did.

 

It's like their mind just went blank after Pac gave JMM a bloody nose.

The fact is, JMM recouped, and like he usually did vs Pac, started outboxing him and coming on strong.

That KO will never get old.
