No it didn't rise, people are being kind to Khan, they are trying to justify a middleweight sparking a welterweight.

So they have to say "Khan showed courage taking the fight" what else can they say?

"It was always a mismatch because Khan is a glass jawed welterweight, it was always going to end in Khan being knocked out".

The WBC have said Khan is still number 1 for Garcia so he has options but to say his reputation and stock has risen because he got knocked out cold is a real stretch.

His stock rose for me, and I don't even like Khan. But he gained my respect in that fight.

He could go and KO Anthony Joshua, some of the bellends on here would say he is a bum

Obviously Khan. Joshua would obviously be quite rightly labelled a bum if he was KO'd by a welterweight

here is what Khan will do which is what he has always done:

go back to Welterweight and fight 2 or 3 feather fisted handpicked opponents. His fans will come on here as say how much he has 'improved' and talk about his 'speed' yet ignore his Glass Jaw, low Ring IQ, etc and say he is ready to take over the division. He will step up and fight Brook or someone similar get savagely KOed and the excuses and process will start all over again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

    Absolutely not.
    Spence
    Brook
    Porter
    Vasquez kill him.
Better stick to broner or rios for his next fight.

    +1

I never would thought Khan would challenge the best guy in two divisions above.

This fight meant nothing. Khan was looking for a payday and Canelo was looking for a victim for Cinco de Mayo.

To me his stock dropped from the Algeri fight and that's where it's at. He is a good boxer but is not and will never become a great boxer.

I don't think the loss hurts him that much and he does deserve some kudos for accepting the fight.

While Khan is not in the same league as a Duran or a Hearns, devastating knockout losses didn't hurt their careers much either.

Good luck to Khan, he's a warrior and rarely in a bad fight.

I think its risen a tad. Maybe. Before the fight lots of talk about how brave he was taking on Canelo and lots of talk about how he will obviously get KO,d badly.

Well nothing has changed, he was brave to take that challenge on and he got knocked out badly. His names been in the papers, he got paid well and he can now take some time to shed that weight he gained properly and carry on baiting Pacquiao, Mayweather or who ever and if he wants Kel Brook will still happily face him. Everything that was there for him before is still there for him now. Except now he has some more money and has been in the media some more.

I dont see how he has lost out much here other than the fight. He hasnt just been exposed in anyway. He isnt a Middleweight, and got knocked out by somebody weighin anything up to 18 pounds more than him who is also better than him.

It was a risk, he hung with Alvarez initially but the inevitable happend. He gave it a go and fell short, no shame in that. Maybe his stock did rise, but it's negligable.
